[Resolved]  Tata Sky — have not resolved my multiple complaints about binge service

I applied for 1 month free trial of tata sky's binge service on 28th june and the technician installed the firestick on 30th june. And i have been facing multiple issues since then which tata sky have failed to rectify so far.

My complaint will be sectioned into 2 parts:

Part 1:

I had applied for a free 1 month trial of your binge service on 28th june, for which the installation was done on 30th june. However, immediately after installation, i received a message stating my pack was modified. My next recharge date changed from 30th september to 5th september due to it.
On checking my subscription details online, i was shocked to find that i was being charged rs.249/month for binge service whereas i had subscribed for the free trial period and was assured by the customer care that i wouldn't be charged a single rupee for it.
I lodged a complaint regarding this on 7th july and was informed it would be solved within 3 days. My complaint number is 1jy27xie.

Part 2:

We skip forward to 26th july, and my so-called "free 1 month binge subscription" was coming to an end on 29th july. I made multiple calls to the customer care who again assured me the problem would be dealt within 3 days. I also complained using their online chat service and every time i was getting the same excuse. They always claim they are escalating my complaint but i never received an update.

Yet to this day, i'm being charged illegally for the service even after multiple requests to cancel my subscription and to reinstate my original recharge date i. E. 30th september.

If this isn't resolved within a week, i will be approaching consumer court and taking legal action for the financial loss as well as mental agony your service has caused me.

They contacted me over email and call after j registered the complaint here. Although they cancelled my Binge subscription immediately, I had to keep intimating them to issue refund. It took them a week to finally take responsibility over their mistakes and initiate refund.
Tata Sky customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Tata Sky contacted me on 5th September and cancelled my Binge subscription on the same day itself. However, they are yet to initiate refund for the period of 37 days where I was illegally charged for the service. Even after multiple calls to the Customer Care, the only response I get is "our escalation department will contact you soon" but I never receive any calls later.

They even abruptly closed my complaint I had registered on consumerhelpline.gov.in without fixing all of my issues. I have again requested them for one final time to initiate refund of Rs.306 by tomorrow i.e. 7th September, or else I will be approaching Consumer Court next week and taking legal action for the financial loss and mental agony they have caused me.

As expected, Tata Sky haven't responded to my complaints. As mentioned above, I'm still getting the same "our escalation department will contact you soon" response. Have escalated this matter with them over mail, call and online chat but they are least bothered and continue to not take responsibility over their fraudulent behaviour.

My patience is running thin and I'll be taking legal action against this unethical company. They have caused a significant amount of financial loss and mental agony to me so far and I'll make sure they pay for it.

Thankfully, Tata Sky contacted me at noon today and initiated refund of ₹341 immediately. I'm glad that they were finally able to rectify their prior shortcomings. Hopefully I won't have to face similar issues in the future.
