Tata Sky — i want to drop a channel but due to lengtho process i am unable

I wanted to drop the Active Javed Akhtar Channel, despite of striving from two hours on tata sky website and their call center, i could not do so. There no customer service available, it takes about 4-5 minutes to reach to call canter executive and then he conveys his inability that i cannot drop this channel before 6th may till date the channel is subscribed for. It is their problem, i should not be asked to call on or after the due date, in case i forget to call on 6th the channel will automatically get renewed for another one month and amount will be deducted from my account, the same thing has happened previously also. I had received the call from tata sky for addition of this channel in dec @ Rs. 5/-, i though Rs. 5 is not a much amount so i gave a go ahead, i was also told that i can drop this channel at any time, but it is so difficult in Tata sky to drop a channel i have come to know the same today. I want to say as why i had not been called before renewal or before deduction of th amount from my account, had i been called i would have denied. adding and dropping of a channel should be with click of a button in the technologically advanced period, I have observed this tedious process has been kept deliberately to enhance revenues through this unfair means. First call the consumer, ask him to add a particular channel, consumer somehow forgets to discontinue, channel is automatically renewed and amount deducted from the poor subscribers. i have seen in the past that when my annual or half yearly subscription expires the company makes so much reminder calls that i get irritated, I have three major concerns which may please be addressed, otherwise i will definitely change the service provider: 1. That why i was not called before renewal of the subscription for this channel, why was it automatically renewed 2. that why cant i drop a channel anytime during the month/subscription period, 3. that even since my subscription amount has been deducted for a full month, even after that i want to forgo the amount and want to drop the channel instantly, why i am not been allowed. 4. That even after calling the call center they hanged my call without addressing my problem, is this called a customer service, it should be called customer inconvenience service. 5. that channel dropping adding should be a very easy and convenient process. regards Ramesh Kaul
