[Resolved]  Tata Sky — illegal deactivation of dth services by tatasky

From 22.8.2018, tatasky have deactivated my dth connection, without any prior notice. Till 21.8.2018, my account had a good credit balance towards the subscription charges. When i contacted tatasky over phone as well as through mail, i was told that charges levied for certain services had been levied and the account had been deactivated.

In this regard, the following facts are submitted:

1. My account was had a good credit balance till 21.8.2018.
2. Tatasky did not give me any notice before deactivating my account.
3. They have not furnished the breakup of the charges claimed by them.
4. Subsequently, they have stated that rs 720 has been claimed towards cable charges. Whereas the technician had mentioned that the extra cable charges would be around rs 250. Hence the amount of rs 720 claimed by tatasky is wrong, and the action of deactivation is illegal and unjustified.
5. Further, they have failed to provide a gst invoice for the material and service charges claimed by them, despite my asking them several times.
6. They have not reactivated my account despite many calls and messages.
7. It is very clear that tatasky is resorting in restrictive trade practices by unilaterally and illegally deactivating the account without giving details of and justification for the amount claimed by them.
8. By unilaterally deactivating the account without proper and adequate notice, tatasky has shown high-handedness with the intention of extracting undue amounts from consumers.
9. By failing to provide the invoice despite my asking for the same, it is evident that tatasky is swindling government revenue by collecting gst from consumers and not depositing the same in the treasury.
