Tata Sky — information withheld on online portal to cheat customer.

I applied for new connection from online portal. There I was asked for option SD/HD. On selecting HD, only option for HD settop box with recording was there which was costing quite high nearly 9000+. So I had to opt for SD topbox.

When person for installation visited my place, at the time of installation, he informed that HD settop box without recording is also available.but the option for the same wasn't there. I immediately chatted with customer care through app and asked her to take my complaint. Instead of taking my complaint, she put it in feedback and misinformed me that my complaint has been taken and I will receive call back within 48 hours. On my asking the complaint number for reference, she gave me the number IQBK6SZ4.

Next day I received a feedback and information call for settop box to which I told that I am awaiting resolution of my complaint. To my utter surprise I was informed that no complaint is pending on my account. And that there is only feedback which has been fixed by back end team. I asked him to take my complaint afresh to which he gave me complaint number IQDVB5ZT.

Today I received a call against my complaint but I am being asked to pay full amount of 1299 for new HD box.

My grievance is I already paid 1099 for SD settop box since no option of hdbox without recording available on internet.

Now, they have fixed the issue but want me to pay the penalty for the fault on online portal by paying 1299 for HD sattopbox without adjusting amount of 1099 already paid for SD sattoo box.

On the top of that they want me.to have reported the issue of non availability of HD settop box without recording option before installation of SD settop box which I got to know about only when installation boy was explaining use of remote and browsing channel on Tata sky and some channels not available for viewing as enquired from him.

The issue was reported within one hour and still they want me to pay 1299 for HD settop box . This is absolute chating and fraud

With reference to the trailing mail and aforesaid complaint, I am again and again being asked to show the screenshot of non availability of option of HD settop box without recording.

I just googled for new tata sky connection and the same two option of SD set topbox and HD Settopbox with recording is available. No option for HD dettol box without recording available. I didn't search for any discount or offer. Simple new tatasky connection was searched.

It amicably reveal that it's so misguiding to prevent informed decision by the customers and no way of knowing that there is any option of HD settopbox without recording.

Like any sane person anyone will select SD settop box instead of Rs.9300/- highly costly HD box.

The same happened to me for which I am being coerced to pay Rs.1299/- over and above Rs. 1099/- for HD settop box when the error of nonavailability of option of HD settop box without recording was reported within one hour.

I have lost all hopes of any customer caring approach of Tatasky.

Received a call from [protected] number where executive tells me that they agree with the bin visibility if option of HD Settopbox on portal but we cannot do anything. You have paidb1099 and you need to pay 1499 now extra for HD settop box. And they are taking feedback at my expense for future.

What kind of customer service tatasky is providing. It just appears extortion money tactic by misguiding and I'll informing customer to make decision about choice and then making her pay double triple for the option available at par with the chosen option at the first place if the full disclosure of information was there.

I am left with no option but to approach consumer court for resolution of my grievance.

Please don't make any call to my number unless I am compensated for the non disclosure of full information and given me Full HD set top box in place of sd settop box without any further cost.

Yes, I have reported above what I have been told. That I have to pay now 1499 for HD settop box and you take my grievance as feedback at my expense of 1099 + 1499 to put your house in order.

The complaint isn't closed and tatasky portal should stop defrauding people and change my SD sattoo box with HD settop box.

because tata sky is defrauding customers by ill informing customers in its portal thar only 2 optiins available for tata sky connection I.e. SD sattop box for 1299 and HD settop box with recording of 9300. customers, with not much resources opt for sd settop box at 1099 only to know later that HD settop box is also available for almost same price without recording. now customers being told this after installation, customer is asked to shell out 1499 more now for HD settop box. I have paid my first and last subscription for this fraud company. will look for other options.

No, the concern hasn't been resolved. The complaint has not been attended to except new and different response from each call coming . All different tactics for fishing out money from the customer by hook or by crook

No, my concern isn't resolved. Replacement of settopbox hasn't been done by Tatasky and stop giving my grievance the name of feedback at my expense. Do the needful and fix the issue caused due to misinformation/suppressed information on the portal.
