Tata Sky — Refusal by Tatasky to take back 4K set top box even after they stopped 4K service | |||
I upgraded DTH set top box of Tatasky from HD to 4k type, after paying upgrade charges of Rs 5900 during 2015 world cup cricket match. On June 4, 2015, Tatasky informed us through sms that 4K content is being discontinued until further notice. I contacted Tatasky customer care for 1. Returning the 4K set top box which is useless without any 4k content, 2. Reverting to old HD set top box and 3. To get Refund of the Rs 5900 which they had charged me. However to my surprise their customer service representative declined mentioning that there is no provision to do so and if at all I wish to do so, I need to pay the necessary fees for changeover. I spoke to Mr.Vidyasagar - whom I was told that, is Customer Service Supervisor of Tatasky. Subsequently I send my complaint to Nodal officer of the state of Kerala. They too called up and informed that the money charged for 4K set top box will not be refunded as per their company rules. It is not expected from a reputed company like Tatasky to dupe customers, by not providing service for which customers have been charged. Please consider this as my official complaint and take up this issue with Tatasky.
