[Resolved]  Tata Sky — tatasky fitness pack added on my account without my knowledge

I came to know yesterday that my acc balance is low and i need to recharge else i wont be able to see the tv. This is because of tatasky fitness pack which was added on my acc without my knowledge.

Background:
I spoke with tatasky cust. Care. Exec. On 11 mar 2018 to recharge the dormant account. I cleared told that i am new tenant to the flat and want to start viewing the tv channels again. The exec. Asked me to answer a few questions like - what was the last subscription amt and when was it made. I told him again that i am new to the flat and i dont know the previous recharge amt and the date when it was made (This is a ridiculous question). He didnt not sound helpful. Then he asked me give full address. I told him as per my agreement papers. He told me that was not correct. I was surprised!!. I called my owner to get the details. My owner told me that tatasky has wrong address registered since the day he took subscription more than 5 years ago. So as per his instructions, i called tatasky again and told the whole story for reactivating the acc. He agreed this time. My owner had told me that the previous tenant had some kids pack activated for their kids. So, i told the tatasky exec that i wanted to cancel the previous subscription (Kids channel pack) and wanted to have a normal pack which has - some news channels, zee marathi and if possible some kids and sports channel. I told him that i dont need any other channels and i dont understand the packages offered by tatasky. What i want is a few news channel and 1 marathi channel which is - zee marathi. Thats it. On top of that if the package includes any other channel then i would like to understand which are those and the cost for it. For this whole explanation, the exec. Suggested dhamal pack - cost ₹299 pm. I agreed. He also told me that please recharge with a min amt of ₹500. I agreed. I did a recharge of ₹600. I was told that with this ₹600, i will get ₹590 in my acc since ₹10 was deducted as some charges (May be reactivation.. I dont remember it now). I agreed. The exec told me that with ₹590 in my account, i will be able to see the tv channels with ₹590 as my balance amt till 5th may 2018. I agreed. Now while doing all this he did not inform me about tatasky fitness pack which charges ₹58/59 per month.
Even if i give a benefit of doubt to him thinking i must not have understood what he meant, my question is - then how come he told me that my balance will last till 5th may 2018!!

When i lodged a complaint yesterday, i got a call today and the resolution exec - dhanashree. I told her the whole story. She then said, she will listen to my call for 11 mar and call me back. Which she did and informed me that i did not tell the exec to drop the tatasky fitness pack.
She also also told me that she will drop the pack from today but will not refund my amount for last month.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

I then told her that if you are not convinced then listen to other multiple calls on the days as well as prior to that which i made to tatasky. I asked her to listen to them as well. She disgreed.

I told her again that - on the 11th mar call i had told the exec to give me only few news channels, 1 marathi channel - zee marathi and whatever other channels come with its subscription.

Now tell me - where did i mention that i want to have fitness pack.

The resolution exec dhanashree said that since i did not clearly say "drop the fitness pack" she can't do it.

My question is - what does it mean when i say "i want a few news channels, 1 marathi channel - zee marathi and whatever other channels come with its subscription". Did i ever say i want fitness pack?
If i didnt say drop the fitness pack, then i also didnt say i want the fitness pack.

So why am i being charged for it?

Just because your exec has done his add-on sales on my acc and that he must have achieved his target!! But this is cheating.
The resolution exec - dhanashree was playing with words and kept repeating that since i didnt to ask to drop the pack, she cant help me.

This is really not acceptable. Just because the add-on must have got the exec his reward for up-selling, the company does not want to revert back my money in my acc back!!

Strange!!

This is how you guys loot our money by putting add-on, doing up-selling without the concern or without providing proper understanding of the information..

Your executives dont know how to speak, dont know how to even try to resolve the complaints. The just keep saying - we are sorry for the inconvenience caused. But are they really sorry for that?
Merely saying "sorry" doesn't help the customer.

I am really upset with tatasky customer care executive service. They dont do their job to help the customers but do it to fill their own pockets by doing up-selling.. You dont value the existing customers..

The executives are always in a hurry to end the call conversation. Is the call center set up to help the customers or to achieve their targets of attending certain number of calls per day??

I expect some help from this forum and hope to get some resolution from this complaint and money refunded in my account.
