[Resolved]  Tata Sky — trying to swindle money from customers by cutting connection and harassment

We have a tata sky connection for television channels. The connection has been working perfectly fine for the past 6-7 years. However, around 10 days ago, the signal was lost. No channels were being received. We called the company. They sent a worker to check. Without checking or analysing anything, he started forcing us to buy a new dish.

We repeatedly asked him to check the connection or adjust the direction etc. He was adamant that the dish has to be replaced without investigating anything. He said there is a building here because of which you have lost connection. We explained that the building has been there for two years. It wasn't built in a day one week ago.
Then he started asserting that there must be a leaf infront of the dish as if we are stupid enough to fall for that. Then he started saying that now there is 3g and 4g so you will not get signal which hardly made any sense at all.
We pointed out that the dish of another building in a more closed off space than ours, he said that that too is wrong and we shall be having a word with them, too. They will have to change it. We pointed out various outher dishes in similar position or worse than ours and asked how are they receiving signal when we aren't, he said, all them are installed wrong and will have to be replaced. Regarding it, you have to talk to the higher-ups and "straighten" things out. We finally got fed up and sent him back.
We called the company and asked them to look into this. They then sent another worker who insisted we needed a new set-top box. So we bought one from them and installed it. They deducted rs 400 from our account. We received the signal for 3 days and then again lost it completely. We called them again. They again sent a fellow who said the exact same things.

Everyone's dishes are wrong. You aren't getting signal today. It is possible they stop getting signal tomorrow. You won't get the signal from any company's dish. You have to replace the dish to where we say and you have to talk to higher-ups to "straighten" things out.

Now when we call them, they either don't pick p the phone or keep saying we will send someone tomorrow or day after or at some inconvenient hour.
All the while they have continued to deduct the charges from our account for their services. We have also been charged for the set-top box. And yet we have not received a signal for even a day for the past 15 days.

They are basically trying to make money cutting people's signals and forcing them to buy set-top boxes and new dishes when they are absolutely not required. Kindly look into this corrupt company and take necessary action.
