[Resolved] Tata Sky — very disappointing customer service!! | |||||
We have subscribed to Tata Sky Platinum Package wherein normal definition and HD channels are available. However, on 01.10.2018 we were not able to watch some of the channels that are already been paid in the subscribed package. On top of that, when calling on 4 different customer care numbers, one of them connected after multiple trials but sadly even after being on hold for 17 minutes, no service executive came on the call and we could only hear the annoying IVR for straight 17 minutes(wherein, the waiting kept on increassing). Ultimately, this toll free customer care number caused us to lose Rs 17.00 on the transaction for which we have already paid the annual amount of Rs 8500.00 and still our problem was not heard, forget resolving them. It was so frustrating, irksome and plain ignorance of the terms of service!! So here I am requesting the concerned regulatory to take note of the same as the companies like Tata Sky while requesting for new connection are all sweet and highly accomodating but once, the connection is made, they don't even bother to take the call as well. Verified Support Oct 06, 2018 Tata Sky Customer Care's response Hi, we understand what this has been like for you. Commercial negotiations with broadcasters broke down because what they were seeking would have forced us to hike our prices. Hence we have had to drop a few channels while keeping the popular ones on. Please bear with us for some time because we are doing this in our subscriber's interest.
