Tata Sky — Wrong commitment and a bad customer service experience | |||||
I had been facing a problem with few HD channels on my Tata Sky from last few months and I thought it might be because of monsoon and should be ok after monsoon however, even after monsoon many HD channels wereare not working properly especially Star sports HD2 and HD4. Last week, I called the customer care and informed the issue and a customer care executive informed me about the related charges which I denied as the problem with signal was not my fault and the last time which was few months back Tata Sky made some technical changes and had requested their clients to contact the technician if they face any difficulty and that's when a technician had visited and since then there was this problem. I was informed the charges will be INR 170 to which I clearly mentioned that if there are any charges I don't want any service so, your executive told me to register the request and once they visit and resolve I need to call back the customer support and the amount will be refunded. Taking her word I agreed to register the request. Later, technician visited and resolved the issue within five minutes which was only signal related and later I called the customer support but they denied to refund any amount even after committing reason given was my set top was out of warranty, it really doesn't matter because when I called you knew it was out of warranty so, you all should not have agreed to waive off the charges at first place . Please check your call recording, it was clearly agreed and only then I registered the request. Next day an executive called me and offered me a refund of INR 100 which I was not happy with because I am not asking for charity but something which I was promised. I am using an HD+ set-top box from a long time now and my monthly consumption is more than 600 so, for me it's not the matter of money it's the wrong commitment or cheating. I raised a complaint but did not get any response and when I called on 24/10/15 because my validity was expiring on 24/10/15, I spoke to Suraj (Supervisor) and he assured me that the team is looking onto my request and my account will not be deactivated and I'll get a call shortly.As expected, nobody called me and my account was deactivated next day on 25/10/15 again wrong commitment. I called up again and spoke to another supervisor called Kaushik Paria and he kept me on hold for 45 minutes basically, I was forced to disconnect the line. Later, Baljeet was kind to help and reactivate my account. The only good experience with tata Sky in last one week was Baljeet. This was a clear case of poor product knowledge and wrong commitment from the customer support team and if they had to be transparent these whole situation would have never arrived. It's been a week now still no resolution on this complaint and tomorrow is the last day of my account validity. I will never recommend Tata Sky to any consumer go for anything but not Tatasky after sale service is pathetic. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Follow-up on your case, address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a callback and assist you accordingly. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve your issue.
