Tata Sky — wrongly charged rs. 700/-

Issue - Ref : 14SBIL77 - Given by Tata sky Nodal officer.

My account has been charged Rs/700 for replacement of the set top box which in our view was not to be replaced. We referred the issue to Nodal officer and we had a detailed call. After the call the service manager said that the amount will be reimbursed. However, I am still waiting for it to be reversed. It is several weeks now. Instead my email Id has been blocked by nodal officer. Hence I am using this forum.
I have also registered a complain again 1635OLB1.

Copying the text of my original mail sent on 8th May.

Here are the chain of events.
- We start facing Error 02 a few weeks back. Lodged a complaint. Some one came and cleaned the digi card and said it is old card. Needs to be cleaned.
- The Error 02 started coming again after a couple of days. We started cleaning the card ourselves.
- Since it became irritating, we raised the complaint again/
- This time the digicard was changed. We were charged 300/- . The problem was solved for a few days. But started again.
- We took out the card and I observed the card was a old card. with several scratches. Every time we cleaned, the card would work for sometime.

- This time when I raised a complaint, I insisted that I speak to a senior call center supervisor.
- I informed him that this needs a senior engineer. I was promised that the issue will be resolved.

- The engineer came and said the card again needs to be changed. But he did not have a new working card. He said he will come again next day and replace the card.

- He DID NOT COME and the request was CANCELLED by service engineer.

- I raised this issue to your call center and reach out to nodal mail id.

The engineer came today and said the box needs to be changed. We will now be charged 700 . The box is again an old repaired box. We did not approve the replacement of the box.

Since I was in office, this happened in presence of my wife. We are extremely unhappy with this kind of service and charging for old equipment.

We are actually being harrased by the engineers. The following is the reason
1. They replaced the card with an old card and charged us 300 Rs. Obviously the old card started to give the same problem.
2. Next time, they cancelled our service request without changing the card with a new card. Without informing us.
3. Instead of changing the card with a new card, they have changed the box itself with an old one. And we will be charged Rs. 700 for that.
