I had applied to various universities through the chopra’s portals and the management there do not even bother to check the status of the applications. For instance, an acceptance letter was sent to them from FIU but they did not check it by January 28th. This was checked by them only after numerous calls from us concerning the update. They are least bothered whether a student gets accepted. There is no use spending so much fee for such incompetent services.

    Good afternoon,
    I had applied for various us & canadian universities (My daughter) through the chopra’s, jaipur. I was told to inform chopras if i don’t get any mail from shorelight universities till 20th jan, 2020
    I have been calling & making request at chopra’s phone. Whenever called, every time i was told that staff is in meeting/ counselling.
    In case got call answered, didn’t get proper response or feedback.
    When called today, i was told to resend some documents which they had already taken from us.
    Is it not their responsibility to check the details in time?
    I am really upset with this casual approach.
    I leave a message on reception everytime i call and request to get me connected whenever staff is free from counselling/ meeting.
    Either they don’t inform the person or contact person doesn’t take it seriously.
    Still have queries with me. Kindly tell me a solution.

      We paid the chopras a lot of money for applying to us universities. While they promised everything in their sales pitch, they provide to provide basic services like:

      1. Adequate communication: you will have to call them at least 4 times before they take a call. They don't inform you if they've submitted your application. They don't tell you what changes they make to your sop or data.

      2. Do not provide access to account: they do not provide access to the login credentials of your application at whatever university they apply to. I found this out at the first application that i did with them. This is very troublesome because they don't provide us an opportunity to verify the data before it is submitted. If your application fails, you cannot blame the chopras because you have no idea what they sent.

      3. Going offline: they go completely offline after office hours, which means that if your deadline is today and you a query to resolve, they will not respond or care.

      4. Delays: everything from sop editing to shortlists to applications go through a multiple day delay. They always fail to provide information at the time they say they would, and they do not take any calls after work, so that means you have to wait until the next working day to contact them.

      Overall, it is obvious that these people continue to traffic in false marketing and probable fraud. They are deplorable and shameless in their tactics and objectively suck at everything they do.

        I am a very old customer of chopra’s. My association goes back to 2006, when i had first consulted them for uk applications.
        This time i have taken their consultation for gre preparations. I am deeply hurt and highly dissapointed.
        1) i was not informed that the money which i paid in full (Rs.26500) is nonrefundable.
        2) i was told that it would be a fresh batch of students. On the contrary, all the students were at the completion of the course.
        3) i was not informed about the trial classes. There was a student in the class that was taking a trial class. When i complained, i was told that they have no trial class policy, it’s just his mother insisted.
        This shows the double standards of the company. If you could alter your policy for one person then i insist that i demand the same treatment of relaxation. They could have given me the same opportunity. I just took one class and i expressed my dissatisfaction to the counsellor
        (Gaganmeet singh sabharwal), rajouri garden centre, new delhi, i requested him for the refund on that very day (10th august, 2019), which he refused.
        4) the main impetus falls on the faculty. I paid the money to learn and understand the concepts. On the contrary, the faculty insisted me to come prepared for the class and gave me a pdf for basic clarification, that too from google! Why i need to pay to the chopras, if i have to learn everything from google?

        My sincere submission is that a company, as larger than life, as chopras must listen to the grievances of their customers. Customer or student should not be forced to comply with such baseless policies. I just took 1 class, and i was dissatisfied with the service. My hard earned money must be refunded. They may make deductions for that particular class. But, i am strongly feeling trapped and highly upset with the chopras. There must be some work ethics and no policy could be the last word. Policies always should be student centric.
        I strongly urge the concern members of the chopras to communicate with me and refund my due amount.

        Dear ‘The Chopras’,
        Thanks for acknowledging my complaint. Yes, I had a very bad experience, total lack of care and concern from your institute. I have called and mailed several times but your staff is repeatedly asking me to wait for the response from the higher authorities.
        I again request you to kindly return my money back. My record is there at Rajouri Garden centre by the name of Shruti Sharma.
        I urge your HR team to solve my issue ASAP. I have not taken any services of The Chopras accept the first lecture on 10th Aug’2019. I have been complaining since that very day!
        I strongly deserve an apology and refund from The Chopras.

          Chopras - new delhi has promised that i will recieve my new zealand visa for my higher studies. But i have not received my visa till now, and i am afraid that i may not be able to reach university this year for my course. Chopras customer care is not responding and my deadline has been closed for the visa. From last one year and half year i was waiting for my visa first for usa visa, due to miss communication from the chopras agents i failed to get my visa and then i applied for new zealand visa in this process they took more than a month in processing and finalised sop. Then somehow they filed the visa by continually giving intimations by phone, email or by visiting their office since one and half year still didn’t get it any information about my visa.
          Every time they my receiving the same feedback that they are trying their best to get my visa. I request to the director or some higher person to look into this matter. I’ll never suggest anyone to go and get the suggestions from the chopras.

            I applied for post graduate diploma in canada from the chopras, kochi in 2016 and they collected money from me stating that there wont be issues even after my aggregate was 53%. They provided wrong information to me where i had to believe everything would go fine but the embassy rejected my visa stating my academic requirements were low. I lost some money moreover i wasted alot of time for this and i have a rejection status even if i want to apply somewhere now. So beware people, they will mislead you to make money but dont fall for it because i still regret it and i lost 2 yeara because of this. Think before you make a move.

              So i paid chopras for the 6 university package... But due to certain circumstances and incidents i’m not pursuing my masters. My counselor and i hadn’t started any of the process, not even 1%. And now when i called her and informed her that i would not be going, she told me that they cannot refund the money... Which is just not right as i have not started any application process.. No services absolutely! And during the payment, they did not mention the “ no - refund policy “.. So clearly i have to get back the money that i paid them!

                Chopra's are the worst consultants as well as they donot provide latest edition of books. I bought the PTE book from them and they hand over the old edition of it .You won't even believe what more worse they did they made the receipt on the back side of some student marksheet how someone could be that much stupid and unprofessional . This are highly unprofessional and they didn't even change the book . Actually I had a word with my counseller and I explained and texted her the name of the book and my driver went to Rajouri office to purchase the book . As he is not educated so I called my counseller and Told her which book i want and she told me that she gave the right book to my driver but when I got the book and I have send her the screenshot she said I am sorry. We donot have the latest edition and she hand over the book of 2005 edition in 2017. As I have clearly mentioned that I want latest edition . I would suggest everyone it is the worst institute. I did the complaint also to the manager but he is also not responding . The name of my counseller is MANISHA . So here are the snapshot of what they did !!!

                  Just to bring to your knowledge the misleading experience i had with the chopras (Nehru place).

                  I opted to do post-graduate studies from new zealand and chosen the chopras as my education agent after hearing a lot of positive feedback about them but mine was very misleading.

                  I applied to colleges like unitec which was my first preference, toi etc but i was not given admission in any of the colleges when i applied through the chopras and they actually convinced me to study m. B. A at auckland institute of studies, a. I. S offered me level 9 course wherein colleges like toi and unitec was not ready to enroll me in level 8 course as well.

                  Also when i applied at unitec on my own, i was given admission within 2 weeks, it looks like that the chopras only recommended the colleges wherein they can get huge incentives as it is quite evident in my case.

                  I really doubt how i was given admission in level 9 course as the managerial experience have is only for 3 months, it looks like that they didn't even look at the work experience, also as per their admission process i need to submit some refree forms but my admission was given to me without even filling that forms.

                  I don't understand why the rules and regulations are set when it is not meant to be followed.

                  Actually, it is the becoming the way of migrating people were in my intentions was to get some quality of education which ended up waiting for almost one year and it also caused huge financial loss to me as misleading information was provided to me by chopras.

                  Had i taken admission in any of the colleges of my preference i would have at least completed my studies before coming back.

                  I also contacted mrs chopra about my misleading experience but i haven't got any satisfactory resolution.

                  Just want to highlight this to you as immigration new zealand can save students from being misled by these educational agents for some monetary benefits.

                    The service provided by them is grossly poor.
                    The team in gurgaon office in particular has very little knowledge of the application process.
                    The data provided for selection o[censored]niversities (Masters in germany in my case) was filled with mistakes even after repetitive requests of correction.
                    They took about 30 days or more to draft a sop for me, which had multiple errors in the final draft.
                    Incomplete knowledge of application process provided to me lead to a lot delay and mess in applying. The only thing the chopras was able to do properly was increase my work load and stress.
                    Today, it has been over 10 days and i haven't been able to establish contact with them. My relationship manager at gurgaon office does not revert back to any form of communication.

                    Lastly, i was informed via text that my case has been transferred to a different branch. This was done without any prior notice or consent.
                    They have no sense of responsibility at all.

                    To all aspiring students reading this, please do not get associated with the chopras. It will be much better if you do the process your self. You will have to do most of it without their help anyways, its better to avoid all the mess in the first place.
                    You will only end up delaying your application and regret paying them a small fortune.

                      I went to chopras lucknow and the fee they asked for 5 clgs was around 40000.
                      However after negotiation they took 17500.
                      I had no clue that they were not supposed to charge anything before visa completion.
                      Now when i ask refund then they say their is no such policy.
                      Moreover they shouldnt have asked for money the very first day.

                      They are least bothered to resolve any query.

                        I have registered for the canada application and paid 5500 to the chennai branch after saraswathy guided me to. But she didn't say it was non refundable nor did she tell me it was only the charges for checking my lor and sop. She said the charges would cover the application for one university including the fee for registration and sending the documents. But a day later when i enquired about the refund since i had to drop the study lan she said it's non refundable. This is a fraudulent act by her. If she would have informed me regarding the non refundable part, i would not have rushed into payment. Also, when asked for a refund, she said it will be processed. It's been over 2 months now and still it's not been processed. When i call her to enquire, she never picks up or just leave a message stating i will get back later. I think at chopra's later means never. I have also left a mail to her regarding the same. But no response from her side.

                        I would request you to look into the matter and handle it not degrading your reputation further.

                          I am a very old customer of Chopra’s. My association goes back to 2006, when I had first consulted them for UK applications.
                          This time I have taken their consultation for GRE preparations. I am DEEPLY HURT and highly DISSAPOINTED.
                          1) I was not informed that the money which I paid in full ( Rs.26500) is nonrefundable.
                          2) I was told that it would be a fresh batch of students. On the contrary, all the students were at the completion of the course.
                          3) I was Not informed about the trial classes. There was a student in the class that was taking a trial class. When I complained, I was told that they have no trial class policy, it’s just his mother insisted.
                          This shows the double standards of the company. If you could alter your policy for one person then I insist that I demand the same treatment of relaxation. They could have given me the same opportunity. I just took ONE CLASS and I expressed my dissatisfaction to the counsellor
                          ( Gaganmeet Singh Sabharwal ), Rajouri Garden centre, New Delhi, I requested him for the refund on that very day (10th August, 2019), which he refused.
                          4) The main impetus falls on the faculty. I paid the money to learn and understand the concepts. On the contrary, the faculty insisted me to come prepared for the class and gave me a pdf for basic clarification, that too from Google! Why I need to pay to the Chopras, if I have to learn everything from google?

                          My sincere submission is that a company, as larger than life, as Chopras must listen to the grievances of their customers . Customer or student should not be forced to comply with such baseless policies. I just took 1 CLASS, and I was dissatisfied with the service. My hard earned money must be refunded. They may make deductions for that particular class. But, I am strongly feeling trapped and highly upset with the Chopras. Their must be some work Ethics and no policy could be the LAST WORD. Policies always should be student centric.
                          I strongly urge the concern members of the Chopras to communicate with me and refund my due amount.
                          Hoping for a sensible response ASAP.

                            I had an appointment with The Chopras regarding a test for which I had paid Rs 4600. They gave me a appointment after 5 days in which the counsellor was supposed to discuss about the test with my parents. But, instead when I arrived they were unable to help me and said that the test was not submitted while my parents waited there for 2 hours. It was a very bad experience and the employees were unprofessional. Therefore, when I asked for a refund they refused and couldn't help me with any of my queries. After that when I tried calling them nobody picked up the phone. Even in the gap of 5 days my coucellor didn't get the time to check his mail whether he has received the results of the test or not and due to his carelessness my parents suffered which is not acceptable at all.

                              This particular agency is a one of the most pathetic agencies spoiling students career.They charged me 30, 000 Rupees which is not a small amount and did nothing.Their agents are so casual and not at all concerned about the application processes once they receive their commission.It was because of them that I missed out deadline of many universities and wasted my time.They promise to provide services but do nothing in return except giving you the list o[censored]niversities which I guess everyone can do themselves.
                              I strongly recommend not to opt for this as an support service as Chopra's will lead you to waste your time as well as money.

                                  I think the worst university selection list among the entire pune counselling intitutes is given by Chopras, my score was low but my profile was good, they considered only the gre score and given me a university list. When i asked my friend about those universities they told me don't even think about it, those universities you can even get below 290. At first this counsellor will tell so many generous words but as soon as we take the counselling they will show their true colour. This i am telling specially about one counsellor in pune Prasad Kulkarni. He doesn’t know how to talk with a person and rarely knew few things about US admission counselling. Every time he need to ask someone to clear the student doubts, if he is a naive for US admission counselling then why they are not giving proper training to him? Initially i thought that Chopras is the best counsellor in pune but now I think just opposite. They are just making fools and making out money. I will not easily leave them, will raise my voice through social networking sites or by taking some other steps only after completing my US admission process.

                                    I was taking help for processing VISA from Amita Singh, counsellor at the chopras, Bengaluru. I am truly not satisfied with her work. I applied for VISA for my PhD late (my course start date was 28.09.2015) because of ATAS delay. I got my ATAS on 22.09.2015. I planned to apply VISA on 26.09.2015. I asked her if 26.09.2015 would be a working day as I need to travel for 6 hours from my native to chopras office. She told lie that the office is not working on that particular day. I called the office on Saturday to verify if the office is not working. Then I came to know it's working. Because of lie, I could apply for visa on Monday. I got my VISA late. I reached UK late. I started my studies late. Is this the way a counsellor behave? She is not fit to be a counsellor. This is one of the instances. I can say many instances that she behaved irresponsibly. Kindly terminate her so that students who apply in future will not suffer like me!

                                      i joined the chopras last year.They said they will help me till i get admissions.But in few months i realised that i made a big mistake..They charged me 25 k for everything. The universities they have finalised were random, rubbish, were over my criteria.SOP and lors r made by my self.They didnt put any efforts to make Sop n lors.My finalised lors n sops were very mediocre.That falll i didnt got admission to any of their univs.when i said to them to help me out in nxt spring admission, they refused to do it n asked me to rejoined consultancy by paying more 27k .

                                        I joined The Chopras, Pune 3 months before for MBA admissions. I have payed them 16500 (part of my total amount - 32000). I had a few discussions on call about selection on Universities. They suggested me with some information. Rather I would say I told them the countries I am looking for and according to my budget constraints. They provided me 2 lists o[censored]niversities, for Europe and Asia. And thats all. The told services Includes - 1. Universities lists and selection 2. Resume, Letters of Recommendations help, SOP help, Essays (a good number - depends on how many universities I apply - each university requires an average of 3 essay) ------- All these documents are considered as 1 point, but a lot of work on that. 3. Interview preparation and conducting mock interview. 4. Application process help (lot of work on this) 5. Taking care of VISA process and interview (lot of work on this too) 6. Helping about accommodations 7. Miscellaneous help (I might miss out few services) Now, here the story begins. I gave GMAT this month, due to some issues I scored really bad. I have decided not to give it in near future, and as I don't know about my coordinates if I will be in Pune or not, I decided to stop the service with Chopras. I called them and explained by financial condition and pleaded for a refund, of-course cutting the payment for THE FIRST POINT - that too university selection was not done/ only the LIST THEY PROVIDED - CAPS intended. After 2 weeks and continuous follow up, they called last Saturday and mentioned, they have given me enough service and they cant refund me 16500 - as in ZERO refund. I spoke to them, pleaded more and spoke about my bad financial condition, my father being ill, a lot of responsibilities on my shoulder. But there was no luck ! I really NEED HELP to get back my money. There are more than 10 services, and they provided me just 1. Not their fault. But they are not refunding. They are cheating on me. PLEASE HELP me get atleast 12000 in return. I have considered the 1st service to be Rs 4500
