Tharai travels is worst. No call from the diver. Msg came at the neck of the time...Driver didn't pick up the passengers from the mentioned pickup point... Didn't attend the phone call even after several attempts .. Worst seats, , soaked with water... No proper functioning of push back... Can't able to switch off ac even it is raining.. No proper customer service... Worst travels.. It is not worth to pay money in this bus.. Normal government bus is better than this.
Tharai Travels customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

    I have booked a ticket to Coimbatore from Chennai[protected] with a fare of Rs.998/-. Due to an emergency situation, i wanted to cancel the ticket booked thro' their website before 24 hrs.(My PNR - THARAI005753, Seat No.25)
    Cancellation policy as per Tharai travels in their website, http://www.tharaitravels.com/
    Cancellation / Refunds:
    Ticket cancellations:
    For ticket cancelled before 3:00Pm on the date of journey 10% shall be deducted on the fare. No refund will be paid after 3:00Pm on the date of journey. (No refund will be given to passenger who do not report at the boarding point on time.)

    When I was trying to cancel the ticket with the given PNR, it is saying that the ticket booked is INVALID.
    I was shocked for a moment and approached the customer care number given in their website.
    Almost for an hour, i have been set in a spin by the Tharai transport officials and gave the mobile number of owner ([protected]) to cancel the ticket from their agent ID.
    Finally, I have been told that the tickets are now cancelled and said that the money will be refunded in a week's time based on the bank rules & regulations.
    I waited for a week and found that the amount was not credited back in my account. Till date, I didn't get any response from Tharai travels on the money I have spent.
    I suggest not to travel in Tharai travels as the people including the owner and irresponsible.

    I booked a ticket from chennai to Salem... They mentioned as semi sleeper ac and itz cost 900.. But actually it s a pushback seater in which push back ll not work... Hand holder also ll not work.

    Instead we can prefer government bus than this travels. Such a worst service..

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      On 9th Feb 2013 night i had booked 2 tickets to return from Salem to Chennai through a Agency in Chennai, to travel on 10th Feb 2013 Night, in which it mentioned as Tharai Travels Charged as Rs,998/- but when i approached for Boarding with my 1.5 yrs Kid and Spouse at 10:30 pm on 10th Feb 2013, i found that the bus is not a Semi Sleeper, when i enquired the Staff working there, they just made a rude...

      I BOOKED BUS TICKET WITH FARE RS.490 FROM CHENNAI TO SALEM ON 1/12/2011FOR JOURNEY ON 2/12/2011 .BUT THE TICKET WAS NOT GENERATED DUE TO TECHNICAL REASON AND THE AMOUNT WAS DEDUCTED IN MY SBI SB A/C.I GOT THE INFORMATION STATING THE ABOVE&"DONOT WORRY! YOUR AMOUNT WILL BE REFUNDED WITHIN A WEEK.REFER THIS NO.8198142 FOR TRANSACTION."PLEASE ARRANGE TO REFUND THE AMOUNT TO MY SBI A.C.

      Fraud

      In booking sites they have mentioned A/C bus, and we paid that amount, But while boarding tharai travels says u have booked for non a/c bus . total fraud ... not only me every one in the bus had a same problem
