I am s. Malleswara rao from hyderabad. Just now i made complaint about non-receipt of the hindu news paper, even after renewing the subscription, in which i have mentioned that i gave a cheque no.078584 dt.[protected] for rs.999/-. I am sorry, the date of cheque was typed as[protected] instead of[protected], which is an error. It is requested to kindly take notice of the same correction and do the needful. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    My name is s. Malleswara rao residing at housing board colony, 6th phase at hyderabad. My phone number [protected]. Every year i pay annual subscription to the the hindu daily. During the october, 2019, one lady employee from the hindu office called me and reminded me that my subscription is going to end by 15th november, 2019 and informed that there is a rebate offered and requested to renew it. I requested her to send for collection of subscription. Accordingly she sent a person by name jagadish goud to my residence and i gave a cheque no.078584 dt.[protected] for rs.999/- of devi gayathri co-op. Urban bank ltd. Hyderabad and he gave an acknowledgement no. Th hyd 645281 dt.[protected]. He also gave phone no. Of area manager, sri viajaya krishna, area manager and advised to contact him in case of any problem on ph. No.[protected]. After two days, the lady employee who earlier reminded me about the renewal of subscription, again phoned me and ensured whether i have renewed the subscription. After two days she contacted me and inquired whether i am receiving the paper. I informed her to ask after due date i. E,[protected]. The cheque was encashed on[protected]. But the hindu paper delivery was stopped after[protected]. On[protected] i have contacted mr. Vijaya krishna, area manager on phone and informed about the non-receipt of the news paper even after renewing the subscription. He requested me to message my residential address and accordingly i gave the message on the same day. But the paper was not restored. Again on[protected] i have reminded him. He said that he was in a function and requested to contact jagadish goud and gave his phone no.[protected]. I have contacted sri jagadish goud and he requested me to message cheque no. And accordingly i gave a message. But no use. During january, 2020 mr. Prasad, local paper delivery agent came for collection of telugu news paper bill which i subscribe, in addition to the hindu. I inquired him about non-delivery of the hindu news paper for which he stated that there were neither instructions nor supply of paper to him after[protected] on my account. On my narration of above happenings, he rang up to mr. Vijaya krishna, the area manager and spoke. But the same state of affairs is being maintained and no delivery of news paper to me so far.in this connection, it to bring to your notice, in earlier years also, there was a delay of 15 days to one month, after due date, even though subscriptions were paid before due date, but after reminding once or twice only, the paper was delivered. The following are my observations. (1) reminding before due date to the the customer for renewal is good. But after renewal your staff are not connecting the same to system resulting into stoppage of paper delivery. (2) your staff who are helping to renew the paper should contact and inquire about the delivery of paper only after due date but not immediately after payment of subscription. (3) the negligent attitude of area manager towards the customers is clear in this case and it should be controlled. I hope you will take necessary corrective action in this regard and deliver the paper

    I am receiving both Hindu and Business line newspapers only after 10AM everyday for past 3 months. Though reminded number of times, kindly change newspaper Boy and vendor immediately to another person. Call personally to me to give further details about new vendor who is supplying other daily news papers Tony house promptly everyday. Reply soon

      This is the article written by one mr raghavender v from vijayawada on 11th january 2020.in this article he is saying that iit madras has done a research in amaravati and gave a report that amaravati, the new cap[ital of andhra pradesh is prone to floods (70%). When the local farmers from amaravati have got suspicion and written to iit madras if they have done any such research and given a report, they have given an email reply that they have not done any such research and no such report was given by them. That farmers query and iit madras reply is now in debates all telugu news channels and social media.

      When we are trying to get factual reply from mr raghavender v on twitter, he is not responding.

      We are the hindu newspaper readers since decades. We can't believe such gross mistake or cooked up stories can appear in a trusted newspaper like the hindu. Therefore we urge you to verify this news article thoroughly and publish a rejoinder to enable trusted readers like us to know the truth. And we request you to issue a rejoinder or clarification at the earliest to vivid readers like us to maintain the trust built over these decades of relationship between you and us.

        My self Mangesh, I have wrongly subscribed the hindu papaer on 30/12/2019, I want a hard copy of hindu papaer. I called custcare as on 10.01.2020, the custcare agent guide me to send a mail to [protected]@hindu.co.in and [protected]@thehindu.co.in. I sent a mail on that date itself. Now I called custcare, they are saying it is not possible to change the subscription. What is the pathetic service you have. No matter my money was waste.

        The service you are giving to customer is not correct.

        Newspaper provided at DISTT una Himachal Pradesh in a village at a rate of 450 pm .. I think this is overcharged
        Request you to look into the matter.
        All other newspaper are selling at market price but only The Hindu is being sold at higher rate . Seller and distributor at home are giving it at 450 per month

          Iam b. N. Halder from kolkata and ur customer since last 2 years. I observed all the time that ink used to the highlighted portion of news placed in a box is not legible. The colour used for the box and the colour used for the write ups is not proper, making it illegible for the readers to read the news & not at all legible. I have to read it with great difficulty. Colour of the box and the colour of the writings should be such that the write ups are prominent and legible. Like the box can be black and the writing can be white or red. Pl look into the matter.

            My name is y. Jayant rao. I am in the annual scheme for the hindu paper. My registered mobile number is [protected]. I have shifted to a new residence. Old address was. 12-1-331/24 dattatreya colony, asifnagar hydrerabad 500028. New residence is b305, niharika exotica, lanco hills road, khajajaguda, hyderabad. I informed the vendor at mehdipatnam. There is no action.
            I am addicted to the hindu. I have been subscribing to thepaper atleast for the last 40 years. I told the same to the vendor. No rewsponse. I called them almost daily.
            Is it the way a senior man of 75 years to be treated. I paid for the subscription. Is it not the legitimate duty of the vendor to address my problem when i have brought it to his notice.

              I have paid rs999 for yearly subscription and my subscription no.: [protected], it is valid from 01.08.2019 to 31.07.2020. I have received paper only in august and september months. So, when i have called them that i am not receiving my paper which i had paid for. They simply used to console me and say that by tomorrow you will receive paper, which never happened. Daily they used to call me and waste my time. Due to the negligence in their side i have asked them to cancel my subscription on 16 nov 2019. After that also i have received calls from hindu representatives stating that i will receive refund within 2 days. I don't know how many 2 days will pass on just to recieve the amount which i have paid. You can check the message of hindu subscription details from below attached photo.

              Didn't receive refund till date... When I am calling them they are simply saying that I will receive refund within 2 days..God must know how many 2days will pass on. I had lodged complaint to cancel subscription on 16 Nov 2019 and as per their refund policy (source: The Hindu official website) it should take 15 days but it's been 25days...

              I was having little hopes on this site. But lost it, as The Hindu representatives are not at all concerned about the customers issue. They( The Hindu voice representatives ) had said that by/on 18 Dec 2019 I will receive the refund but today is 19/12/2019 yet I didn't receive the refund. I thought if I place a complaint on this site then they will resolve my issue ASAP but my expectations went in vain.

                I am a resident of N R Colon, Bangalore and I have subscribed for one year to the hindu newspaper using their website by paying rupees 1099 on[protected]. I was assigned subscription id [protected]. My subscription period was assigned from[protected] to[protected]. I was receiving the paper regularly from[protected] till the last few days through the local vendor (Raj kamal Store). For the last 3 days[protected] I was not delivered the paper. On enquiry with the vendor I came to know that local executive by name Gagan has told the vendor to stop delivering the paper. I tried calling that ### Gagan but he was not responding. I raised the complaint through CUSTOMER CARE and also I sent the mail with all the proof. I got the assurance that problem would be sorted out soon. I never expected this kind of causal attitude from a reputed company like The Hindu. All these executives are useless ###S and have to be fired immediately. It is better to kick their ### and throw them from the company.

                  I am a resident of marathalli bangalore and i have subscribed to the hindu newspaper using their website by paying rupees 100 during the last week of september 2019. I was assigned hindu reference id w20191009esub7017 and promised that they will deliver the newspaper from 16th october 2019. But as promised i received no paper from them. I contacted their customer care on 18th 20th etc. Along with sending them mail on various occasions. Just a person called nagaraj called me and told me to check with my local newsagent. I told i dont know who is the local newsagent and there is no one in the apartment who would do that for me. I asked him to either check with them or issue refund. He had promised to issue a refund. After calling the call center also, i was notified that my refund is processing and i would receive the money in 10 to 15 days. But on 8th november i was again charged 99 rupees towards my subscription as there was auto debit enabled and my subscription was not cancelled. Im unable to do so in their website also. I had sent an enquiry to hindu and a service request has been lodged after that no response from them. Im feeling veey much cheated by the hindu corporation and wanted to lodge a complaint in the consumer court claiming damages for their irresponsible behaviour

                    Hi sir/madam

                    I purchased step english course online. Content provided by step is not value for money. There is video and questions over it. But as per their portal, they promise to provide much depth grammar and vocabulary etc. I purchased to improve english. But according to their content, it is for below 10th class student.
                    I contacted on their given mail id, facebook and whatsapp.. They said that they will revert back me after discussion, but they don't.
                    I asked them to give me my money back so that i can look for other way to work on my learning.

                      I paid for online annual subscription of rs 1699. They are neither giving me newspaper nor refund, calling them from 15 days. They dont call back, just keep saying we will get back to you in 2 days and never do that. The customer care does not care to understand and just hangs up saying complaint is taken. The sales or collections team dors not call even after being promised call back from them. Either they are pathetic in their service or they do it purposely to keep the money of subscription and make some earnings this way.

                      I was promised a refund on call and i have the recording of the call but i did not get my refund. I want my full refund amount as i am not receiving the newspaper

                          I am a hindu daily subscriber having subscribed for six months online which is currently effective. The paper boy throws the newspaper into the compound of my house even while it rains. It is happening quite often. To make any complaint, the online website of hindu or the helpline number are not available. When i contacted the local agent, he has been arrogant. I want my subscription back and i don't want to subscribe to the paper any more.

                          எங்கள் பகுதில் banned செய்தே பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருட்கள் தயாரித்து வருகிறார்கள் ..அதை நாங்கள் pollution control complaint செய்து குட அவர்களிடம் பணம் வாங்கி கொண்டு அதை சரிவர கவனிக்க வில்லை ..அவர்கள் அதிமுக வை சேர்தர்வர்கள் என்பதால் எந்த ஒரு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க தயங்குகிறார்கள்..நீங்கள் இதை கவனிக்க வேண்டும் என்று பணிவன்புடன் கேட்டுகொள்கிறேன்

                            I have cancelled my hindu news paper subscription on 27th september as the daily paper is not delivered on time (Every day i received paper at 9 am). Still i haven't received amount from hindu and also i am still getting the paper at irregular time. There is no proper response also provided by customer care.

                            I feel i am cheated by hindu as last 2 months i am struggling with hindu team on giving the paper at on time (They promised to provide paper before 7.30 am) but no action on this. Since they couldn't provide on time delivery, i asked for refund. Even that they couldn't provide. I have paid annual subscription and only 2 months over, very unhappy on this.

                            When hindu is highlighting public issues on their newspaper, who is going to highlight issues on their side.

                            Can i get proper response on this?

                              My "the hindu" subscription is due for renewal, on 29-09-19, as per your message. I renewed my subscription, on 16-09-19, my subscriber id:[protected]. So for, i have not yet receive any communication through my e-mail ([protected]@ymail.com), then, how i can communicate to my vendor that my subscription was renewed?

                              So, i request you, to send one renewal certificate/order, to my e-mail, so that i can inform to my local "the hindu"newspaper vendor accordingly.

                                I have subscribed for the weekend edition on 6th of august and still have not received any paper. Today is 23rd september. I have sent repeated emails but only get empty promises. Awful service. I dont understand how such a reputed organisation is surviving with such an useless team.

                                    My the hindu newpaper subscription started from 08.08.2019 (New plan 125/month) but i didn't get newspapers from 07.09.2019 from the news agent, mr. Sree das, korani, attingal. This information forwarded to hindu news paper office, thiruvananthapuram and also informed to mr. Rakesh kumar, hindu news paper circulation and distribution manager in charge in attingal areas for the same, unfortunately he not responded for this. So i'm not responsible for this period. Please take the proper action immediately.

                                      I have subscribed for september month and paid it online as well in advance.But i am not receiving newspaper till now. I have mailed to customer care for the same for now many times. but not receiving any solutions.
                                      I have called to cutomer care but they are not helping me either. Worst experience with Hindu publications. Kindly somebody help me in this.
                                      The Hindu customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
