Thrillophilia — Illegal & Unsafe Kudremukha Trek Conducted Without Forest Permit by Thrillophilia

I am filing this complaint against Thrillophilia for organizing a completely unauthorized and unsafe trekking experience to Kudremukha, Karnataka, which violated multiple forest department regulations and put all participants at serious risk.

Here are the key issues:

No Forest Permit Obtained:
Kudremukha trek requires a mandatory forest entry permit issued by the Karnataka Forest Department. Thrillophilia never asked for any government ID, nor did they share any proof of permit. This is illegal and violates forest rules.

Trek Started Outside Allowed Timings:
The official trekking window is 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Thrillophilia started our trek at 5:00 AM, which is unauthorized and against national park regulations.

No Forest Check or Plastic Inspection:
There were no forest guards at the check post, and no one checked for banned plastic or water bottles as required. This clearly indicates that we were not officially registered.

Local Confrontation & Threats:
During our return, a local man stopped us and accused the group of illegal entry without permits. He threatened jail time and a fine, then demanded money and forced us to take a longer, unofficial forest path to avoid guards.

Dangerous Alternate Route:
This new path was extremely hazardous, filled with leeches (15–20 bites per person), mud, and thick undergrowth. We had to trek an additional 2 km in unsafe, unsupervised conditions for over 2 hours.
This caused trauma and health concerns for many in the group.

Post-Trek Cover-up by Thrillophilia:
After the incident, I contacted Thrillophilia to request proof of the permit or even a list of trekkers. They refused to share any details and are denying responsibility.

This is a serious breach of safety, transparency, and legal responsibility. Thrillophilia endangered a group o[censored]nsuspecting trekkers, possibly to cut costs by avoiding government permit fees, and then failed to provide any documentation or help.

I am demanding that this be investigated and the company be held accountable. I also request that this complaint be made public to warn other travelers.
