I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Thrillophilia.com regarding their failure to provide a refund for services that were canceled as part of my honeymoon package to Sri Lanka. The details of my grievance are as follows:

Trip to Meghalaya

I had the worst experience travelling with Thrillophilia. Nothing was planned from their side and they changed the itinerary for more than 5 times. There was no trip guide with us and we were figuring out all the places and plans on our own. They just provided the hotels and driver and nothing else. Even the breakfast povided by Thrillophilia was not at all good. Overall we had pathetic experience and I would not recommend anyone to travel...

Reference is made to booking PNR BKDHQBI7ZMG dt 15 Oct 23 for Rs. 42, 000/- I am due to receive Sentosa fun pass for 2 adults (120+10 tokens each).

My attempts to raise a complaint/ticket online is thwarted by Thrillophilia by closing the tickets without resolution

Everytime I make a call through customer care number, the support team says they need 24 hours from the time of the call, several 24 hours have passed.

I now demand a refund of the amount to facilitate booking of the same through a trusted source.

    Refund not received from Thrillophila

    We had a booking from Thrillophilia for Ladakh trip amount to rs 40000, but the booking was canclled 2 days before the trip, and it has been 18 days since the refund has not been issued. We have the booking no and name of agent who is responsible....

    We have booked Singapore Malaysia and Langakawi package from Thrillophilia in Dec 2022. Most of the activities mentioned in our itenary were not done. We have been told that we will receive the refund for the same. We are still awaiting the refund. We were told to give the good reviews and get the refund which we haven't received till date

      Not refunding wrongly booked tickets since the last 4 months

      Thrillophilia team mis booked 4 SEA Aquarium tickets in November 2022 on the day that the Aquarium was closed. The team had committed to refund the complete ticket cost that day itself, however since then has not been responding to any calls or emails....

      With the reasons which is not acceptable by any mean for the term premium package so called provided by thrillophilia,

      From day one onwards we started facing the issues.

      Day 1
      Hotel accommodation is not provided as per to your commitment and rooms are allotted to us after two and half of reaching to hotel.

      At the time of trek briefing by the local operator they severed Kava for which they charged Rs.100/- per cup which is not informed to us earlier.

      Next day morning breakfast had been charged to us, later its was refunded after discussion with the ground team but some team member had not received refund.

      Day 2 & Day 3
      Room heater are not switched on, food timing and availability of food is not up to the mark, no proper coordination with your ground team and the local operator over the trek briefing.

      Day 4
      Proper documentation of the teams is not provided to the guides, due to this all the teams had to stay for one hour at the check post for the clearance

      With our team asst. guide had come who doesn’t know the exact starting point, due to this we had lost the route and came back to the starting point after 2 hours, by the time we reach the 1st camp site it was almost evening and we missed the lunch.

      Day 6
      Asst. guide had very less idea of the track, as the main guide had been struck with a couple who were coming very slow (they were not a part of the thrillophilia team). As it has became dark our team had suffered a lot to reach the camp without a proper guide.

      Day 8
      We thought at least last day will be memorable, but thrillophilia had made it more memorable by cancelling the dinner and culture program without any intimation,

      You mentioned
      Due to availability issues faced on the ground, our operator was unable to provide you with the local food but provided a complete dinner, The food prepared was not at all sufficient for all the people, at least 10 people were left out without curry, the behaviour of the hotel staff was very rude for asking why the food prepared was limited, due to this a big argument broke out between team members and the hotel staff.

      After facing all these issues still, they expect further bookings from us.

      Its left to thrillophilia team how they term this as a premium package.

        Missed visiting Burj Khalifa due to their irresponsiblity

        I had pre-booked my visit to burj khalifa and received the booking confirmation from your end close to one month before my planned visit. On the day of visit after standing in the queue to enter burj khalifa for 30 minutes I was humiliated in front of the other guests and was asked to leave the premises since I was unable to show them the QR code required for them to scan and enter. The travel agent(Suraj) handling this booking was not available...

        I have booked a trip through thrilophilia to Maldives. I have paid 50 Percent of the payment that is 92000 ..after that the contact operator - Surya pratap Tanwar whom I was in touch with stopped answering my calls or replying to messages. Neither did he send any confirmation on the trip. I also booked my air tkts for around 50 k that are not refundable

          I have made bookings for Maldives through thrilophilia. I have paid them 92000 as 50 Percent of the payment . After that the contact operator - Surya Pratap tanwar did not answer my calls or messages. Neither did he send any confirmation on my trip.

            I booked Thailand trip for my parents through thrillophilia sales person. He called me first and told me about flight tickets first to confirm booking. on 26th June I booked flight for 2 to Thailand through companies portal. I got an email from the company that my flight is confirm on a same day sales person also called me and saying that remaining amount also I need to pay today itself or else package costing will get changed. I refuse to make the payment on the same day so he abuse me and use bad words against me. So I cancelled booking and ask for the refund from the company but till date I didn't receive my refund. Please help me to get the refund

              Worst service provider, nothing less than a service that’s running scam & fraud. Refused to give me a refund despite there being a clear lack of ethics, communication and understanding by both Thrillophilia and their fraud partners. Perfect net of operations in blaming each other whilst paying the least amount of attention to the customer in question. Don’t ever take their services, you’ll find many alternate direct options at the hotels or even in lanes near your hotel.

                Hi. I booked universal studios singapore's express ticket, but it was declined. However, the money wasn't refunded at all. I emailed to the other email address of thrillophilia, but I've got NONE OF REPLIES. Since it wasn't my will to cancel it and there was nothing about possibilities of declination, I strongly ask you to refund.

                  Refund not received, no replies to emails/phone calls

                  Hello,
                  Deeksha from the northeast region promised they initiated a complete refund on May 18th but o haven’t received the refund. They are not responding to emails or phone calls. Her team member Rahul stopped receiving calls though they promised to resolve any issues -[protected].
                  I have email proofs stating they initiated refund and should expect in 5-7 working days.

                  My amount of 9K is with them which I cannot...

                    Issues are listed below:

                    1. Agent(Deep Singh) with whom we booked our trip stopped receiving our calls after making the full payment.
                    2. We have not received our bus tickets (Delhi to Manali) till 1.30 pm on 2nd June which was our travel day, After lot of followup and finally we received our bus ticket at 1.45 pm and departure time was 5.30 PM on the same day (2nd June 2022), Cherry on cake was we got last 3 seats in demo sleeper Volvo and 2 passengers next to us were boys and sitting with then on least seat specially on the bad route from Delhi to Manali was very worst experience.
                    3. Whenever we have called our operation Manager (Adya), in first go she never received our call, after calling her from different different number she will pick the call and say “Mam I will check and get back in 5 mins’ and her 5 minutes will never get over as we have never received a call back from her.
                    4. As per the finalised Itinerary pick-up from Manali bus stand and drop to Hotel in Manali was promised but no one came to pick us up and none received our call to support that time, we reached hotel by ourself..Thank-God we had hotel details by then.
                    5. No one till day 4 has met us from Thrillophilia team(until Leh) and second day in Leh we are seeing people who have taken direct package from Leh were given so much more priority than us, as people from Thrillophilia have come to meet them and guide them about all challenges.
                    6. Worst experience we got when we Reached to our camp site (Padma Camps) in pinging lake at 7PM with no network and when we went for check-in to camps we heard we don’t have any bookings there, Staff told we have declined your bookings stating we our full till 12th June don’t know how they confirmed your bookings. We were blank at that time and didn’t know what to do other than requesting them to arrange something and finally they took us to rooms (without attached washrooms)which were very shady and opposite to our rooms there were 2 room (3 guys in each room). Guys from one room started making very cheap comments from the time we entered and meanwhile we see the rooms they were continuously string inside our rooms and speaking something which I can’t even explain.we were not okay to stay in those rooms and share washrooms with all other people staying in other rooms as well, finally one Marwari family heard us talking and requesting to staff so they gave us their cottage and they moved to our room.IT was a biggest night mare.
                    7. Drop to airport was promised in Itinerary and we mentioned to Houseboat staff 3 times (1 in night and 2 times in morning) before leaving for shikara Ride in Srinagar and they told yes Cab will be waiting for you at ghat 12, when we reached there at 12pm there was no cab, we called hotel(Amina House boat) owner to ask the same he told ‘I wasn’t even aware that we need to drop you to airport, you never called me’, we were surprised, event after mentioning it 3 times to staff the owner was not informed, luckily owner was near to help other guest to checking he came in that car and dropped us to airport, we were late for our flight, we could board our flight when they were announcing last call for passengers.
                    8. Deep sing(Agent with whom we booked the trip) lied to us stating there are 3 people with us in group tour (2 girls and 1 boy) after asking few times he told they are group of friends but it turned out to be a middle age couple with their 19 year old daughter, we were lucky because that family was good but deep Singh has passed wrong information to us.

                    First and worst experience with Thrillophilia, we booked this package with this agency by seeing the brand values and thinking they will make proper arrangement keeping girl’s safety in mind but nothing such sort happened.

                    I need a solid refund for all the problems we faced during the trip.

                        Worst ever experience Rahul Pawar and Devansh Singh they booked a diff date hotel even after confirming. Also different hotel not one that we confirm. ### they are!! And don’t help even a bit. They don’t know the coordination amongst their agents Driver also sends details 5mins prior to leave no time until we ask them Raju is the name.

                            My booking PNR is BKDKNKDM48X
                            We had made a booking through thrillophilia on 23rd March for Maldives for Oblu Select Sangeli and we had been assured that our booking will be modified to beach villa and water villa with pool instead of water villa and water villa with pool for 4 nights. There is no response from your extremely unprofessional team about our booking and now they are even not picking up our calls this is absolutely cheating done to us and our booking amount has been collected and no revert on our final booking
                            Mr Shubham had made our booking and had assured us and now he is no where in the contact by giving some persona reason and he had assigned Mr Samyak from operations team to connect who is not responding us and also Ms Jyoti from the sales team. This is extremely disappointing and i have been forced to take the complaint to the higher matrix . Please look into the issue asap
                            Please help me in getting my money back.

                              Hi Team,

                              Had worst of experience with Thrilophilila on my Manali tour with booking id BKDQEOEBL6S

                              I had 7 days tour booked and had worst experience.

                              1st day : Due to irresponsible transfer of itenary We missed booked volvo to Manali and got other alternative which was Last seats in middle of some guys being a couple and had unpleasant journey and no assistance from Thrilophilia on this.

                              2nd day : We got worst driver with rude behaviour. On our journey to Hotel only we faced bad experienced with assigned driver but even after informing the same to Thrilophila on same day we got same driver for our entire trip. And that day trip was not done from Thrilophilia giving fake explanations. We got on tour with local taxi on our own.

                              3rd day : We got same driver but misguided on availability of tour and got alternative place instead which was not good. And just dropped at Market in Manali and hurried us to leave soon to hotel. So even 3rd day ruined because of driver’s behaviour.

                              4th day : Got same driver again. He asked to get ready by 9:30 and Driver came at 1PM to pick us to next destination Jibhi. While on journey we had to see Kullu he just stopped at one shop at Kullu and took us to Jibhi. Being asked gave response as that shop itself is kullu sightseeing.

                              5th day : From Jibhi we got alto instead of Sedan for journey to Shimla.

                              6th day : In shimla even there were few places that we could visit(not many due to snow fall and is understandable)but we could not able to visit other than market. Even to market roads were open from 9 but till 11 our agent kept on telling roads blocked. After got the info from hotel staff they sent the driver accepting roads are open. And at evening the driver hurried us to leave market at 6 even our bus at 9 and left in middle of street at bus stop.

                              And in night again got just pushback instead of semi sleeper and upon asking they just inform the same as both are same.

                              We are fine with missed trips due to snowfall and climate issues. But there are many trips missed due to drivers negligence and irresponsible behaviour.

                              Upon contacting Thrilophilia at the end got into many discussions and no where proper response and no one ready to properly listen to our concerns. And at the end accepted to refund 2k (we paid 54k). Our entire trip ruined because of irrensponsible handling of tour package by agency and at the end also no proper compensation and good response from thrilophilia.

                                I booked 7 days Sikkim tour package with thrillophilia with PNR BKDQ53C98A0. They promised to arrange Nathula Pass visit on Monday(it was discussed with them that Nathala Pass is closed on Monday and Tuesday but they said they have some spc arrangement for this and they will make it) and they charged 4K extra for the same. One the day 1 trip they took us near Nathula and after wasting a few hrs said not possible. Finally we could not visit Nathula Pass. We tried connect their sales team they were not reachable. There is no response from them over call or whatsApp. The sales team is only to make sales. Service is pathetic. I am following up for the refund and they are not reverting to that also.

                                Very bad service.

Booking ID BKDJBDFZVXN and Booking ID BKDS72SOUSO, by name of Mr. Parth, payment made via credit card American Express online at New Delhi on 26th December and 27th December, 2021 accordingly. There have been several discrepancies, unfair trade contracts and unfair trade practices while booking the same services. Despite several telephonic conversations, there has been no solution to the issue I have faced in the duration of the same activity.

                                  As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; Section 1, Sub-clause

                                  (46) "unfair contract" means a contract between a manufacturer or trader or service provider on one hand, and a consumer on the other, having such terms which cause significant change in the rights of such consumer, including the following, namely:—

                                  (vi) imposing on the consumer any unreasonable charge, obligation or condition which puts such consumer to disadvantage;

                                  and,

                                  (47) "unfair trade practice" means a trade practice which, for the purpose of promoting the sale, use or supply of any goods or for the provision of any service, adopts any unfair method or unfair or deceptive practice including any of the following practices.

                                  According to the following problem with the Booking ID:

                                  1. Scuba Diving In Dubai was booked for approximately 8 people at a cost of approximately Rs. 37, 200 + Rs. 12, 400 = Rs. 49, 600.

                                  2. When making a reservation, the thrilophilia website as stated on the link https://www.thrillophilia.com/tours/scuba-diving-dubai that the scuba dive activity will be 60 feet deep.

                                  3. Taking this into consideration, we booked the activity and traveled to Dubai from India via New Delhi.

                                  4. We received the booking confirmation via email at [protected]@gmail.com, and we were also helped/assisted by the Whatsapp number +[protected].

                                  5. At 14:08 P.M. on December 21, 2021, one of Representative named - Nikhilesh via +[protected] got in touch with me via Whatsapp chatting and shared the details of Scuba Diving. We checked and audited the plan after receiving the thrillophilia website's hyperlink, because Thrillophilia offered a 60-feet-deep scuba adventure activity.

                                  6. Following booking confirmation, approximately 8 people, including myself, borne the expenses for travelling to Dubai, which included booking a hotel, flights, and other miscellaneous expenses.

                                  7. On December 28, 2021, at approximately 11:45 a.m. Indian time, we were informed by the third party that our scuba dive would only go to about 15-20 feet and that our booking was not for 60 feet. At approximately 11:52 a.m., I dialed +91 [protected]. to reach a representative of Thrillophilia.

                                  8. Please note, we had a 1 minute 62 second telephonic conversation during which the representative confirmed that the scuba dive is booked for 60 feet. Following confirmation, I informed the representative of our problem, for which he requested 5 minutes of his time in order to resolve it quickly, with no instructions or directions provided in the meantime.

                                  9. At approximately 11:58 a.m., I made a phone call to the same mobile number +91 [protected] after exactly 5 minutes. During this time, I was standing on the beach, dressed in a scuba jacket and fully equipped, ready to dive, with no other choice but to call Thrillophilia representative after representative after representative.

                                  10. After nearly calling 8 times, the representative finally picked up my phone call at 13:43 Indian time, and we had a conversation about our terrible, exploited Scuba Diving experience.

                                  This matter was discussed with Miss Rubal/Rupal on December 28, 2021, and Ma'am is aware of the entire incident. We were promised a quick resolution and solution to our problem, but despite numerous phone calls and messages, we have yet to receive a response from the Thrillophilia team.

                                  According to my phone conversation with Miss Rubal, we were informed that Mr. Aditya is already working on a resolution towards our problem and he will come out to a solution in a good-will gesture, since we are a long term customer to Thrillophilia. Since then till today, we have not received any response from him or his team till date.

                                  Despite paying for a 60-feet activity, we were not provided with the same service and were instead placed in such an unfair situation that being a consumer was difficult. With the services being provided, I am disadvantaged, exploited, and harassed. I'd also like to mention in this notice that the Thrillophilia website updated the 60-foot adventure activity to a 20-foot activity on December 28th, 2021. I have all of the screenshots, phone conversations, and booking IDs.

                                  I understand that mistakes happen, and such mistakes should not happen to anyone, including myself. Despite being a customer of Thrillophilia since 2017, I did not expect to be subjected to such harassment, and I did not expect to be writing the final notice to the Thrillophilia family in order to seek final redress for my complaint.

                                  The following are the few responses I've received from Thrilophilia Representatives regarding my reservation:

                                  a) Contact Customer Service; only they can assist you.

                                  b) The price of a 60-feet scuba dive differs from the price of a 20-foot dive. That's why I made the reservation, because I was getting such a great deal on this website. I would never have booked the dive if the website had stated clearly that it is only subject to a depth of 20 feet.

                                  c) If you have already completed the activity, our internal system does not support it. I called 8 times in about two hours and received no response, despite the fact that I was in a foreign country with different laws. I was forced to do that activity because I had paid such a high price for being disadvantaged, without a choice, with limited telephonic connectivity and resources available.

                                  d) A professional dive is 60 feet deep, while a beginner dive is 20 feet deep. Neither the academy nor the Thrillophilia organisation asked for any professional licences. This cannot be the reason for something for which we have paid. The service purchased was for 60 feet, but we received less than a 20-foot ride in return.

                                  Please contact me as soon as possible so that we can discuss the options we have for both bookings. I've tried and tried again and again to contact a Thrillophilia representative, but no one is ready to provide a solution to my problem.

                                  The payment was done for 60 Ft. Scuba Diving at your website, and that service was in turn happened to be a fraudulent activity. I would only like a few questions to be further added to your investigation.

                                  1. Did your website sold us the voucher with advertisement of 60 feet Scuba Diving at Rs. 6, 200?

                                  2. Have the Thrillophilia informed us to not continue with the activity? Why was there a delay of 2 hours in responding to the service when repeated calls were dialled by the consumer?

                                  3. Have Thrillophilia edited the scuba diving link - website, post the activity was completed ?

                                  4. Despite, knowing for fact, that 60 feet Scuba diving is not for professional, have any one of the representative at thrillophilia informed me prior or post the booking of the activity?

                                  5. Did the Operator gave any option to refund for the same activity?

                                  In addition to the activity and absurd statements being provided by the response. Let me make one thing clear, it's about the fairness policy thrillophilia is showing. That's why I have raised a concern under Unfair Trade Practices of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

                                  In addition, some seperate questions to be added for the investigation team.

                                  1. Had any of the representative or the investigation team informed me (including you or rupal) that the cost for both 20 feet and 60 feet is same? As far as I remember, Miss. Bhavika and Miss Rupal had repeatedly claimed again and again that both the activity 20 Feet and 60 Feet are of same cost. But later when I informed the investigation team, that th y are wrong for the fact, then it was duly considered. And the same has also been confirmed by the team.

                                  a. Is there any negligence of thrillophilia while posting an advertisement and confirming the same for 60 feet on the website?

                                  2. Did the Operator or Thrillophilia asked us whether we had any Professional PADI certificates?

                                  3. For the transportation, had the operator or the any of the representative of thrillophilia informed us that they wouldn't be able to pick us from Sharjah? If yes, had the team or the operator informed us prior to the booking confirmation?

                                  The reason behind booking 60 feet Scuba diving was clear:-

                                  A. Reasonable Prices being offered by thrillophilia for 60 feet Scuba Diving. We wouldn't have considered if they would have correctly mentioned it's 20 feet.

                                  B. Trust for this company over Indian customer and legal jurisdiction.

                                  As being a consumer I was never asked or given an option of refund by the operator. Neither did your team stopped me from doing this activity. Do you have any response for the same?

                                  Please take note of this, and consider it the final reminder to the notice of my grievance. If Thrillophilia is unable to assist me, this conversation will be recorded and used against you in future criminal and civil proceedings in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 2019. I've been trying to file a complaint/grievance since I was wrongfully charged for a ride I never intended to book and was forced to do so by third-party representatives. This notice is about unfair trade practises and consumer exploitation. As a consumer, I've been duped, harassed, and exploited. Because Thrillophillia is using such unethical tactics, please reach a consensus regarding the rescheduling of my flight ticket.

                                  I reported this matter several times, but despite my pleadings, he has not made good the defect in services (or deficiency in services), which is regrettable and highly unprofessional. Due to your aforementioned dereliction of duty and failure and neglect to rectify the same, I have suffered losses/incurred expenses of Rs. 49, 600 additional AED 580 for travel charges for coming from Sharjah, which you are obligated to compensate me for, as all bookings were made through Thrillophilia.

                                  • Return the price/charges paid- Rs. 49, 600 + AED 580 travel charges (Since travel was included in the fare trip from Sharjah), but driver asked us to come till Burj Khalifa Metro Station

                                  • Pay Rs. 5000 for mental agony & harassment

                                  The receipt of this notice failing which I shall be constrained to initiate against you for redressal of my aforesaid grievances and recovery of the aforesaid amount such proceedings, both civil and criminal as are warranted by law, besides filing a complaint under the statutory provisions of The Consumer Protection Act 2019, exclusively at your own risk, cost, responsibility and consequences which please note.

                                    Worst trek in my life.
                                    Booked through thrillophilia, which they assigned me to Himalayan traipse.
                                    As we would be reaching Sankri late I was in contact with Himalayan traipse POC(Sachin).
                                    He booked us taxi till Sankri, Upon reaching Sankri driver had no clue where is Himalayan traipse location is.
                                    As there is no mobile network in Sankri we went to different hotel asking for Wifi.
                                    I called both thrillophilia POC and Himalayan traipse POC but they didn't respond.
                                    Me and my wife were left at Sankri without any clue or guidance at Sankri.
                                    Anyway we trekked and as we both didn't had any experience and guidance in snow trekking we were almost broken by the time we reached base camp, still we completed the summit and returned back to sankri.
                                    After getting back mobile network, I was amazed to see both thrillophilia and Himalayan traipse didnt even contacted me once in this whole 5 days.
                                    My suggestion to both thrillophilia and Himalayan traipse is, if you are not passionate about travelling or hiking or related things, please don't be in this business.
                                    There are million other ways to make money through hook and crook.

                                      We had booked a package from thrilophilia for Kashmir trip and that was 7 days package,

                                      We had given the advance amount and even booked our flights

                                      Just before 5 days this people came to us and said they havnt processed anything

                                      So we than asked for the refund of whatever advance payment we had made and because of their mistake we had to cancel our flights tickets. Now I want our flights amount back - I can’t bear any looses because if their mistake

                                        I had booked Sikkim trip with Thrillophilia as all the itinerary and the hotels and of course the cost looked great. However, once I made the payment, the operations team was not responsive at all. I waited for 3-4 days for them to respond.

                                        So, I raised cancellation request which was much before 20 days. But, still they are not responding and have not initiated the refund process till now.

                                            Thrillophilia has made us wait on roads of Himachal. Because we had a nice driver we could manage. Thrillophilia has made total miss communication from day one with us. Rooms are not booked properly, we waited on roads for rooms in the night including girls. Entire trip was a trouble from thrillophilia. Zero communication, zero plan. Zero services.
