Times Of India — Cheating in the name of TOI Annual Subscription

Dear Sir,

I'm Deepu, from chennai-117 and was a regular customer of toi since 2012 and had a break during covid time and meanwhile I hv shifted my house to new area( from Chn-27 to Chn-117). In response to the continuous toi messages for annual subscription renewal with a gift of travel bag, I hv renewed the subscription on 5/9/21 for a period from 07.09.21 to 06.09.22. & Sub ID is XX[protected]. Since TOI paper delivery has not been started on 7th, i have contacted toi CR team to know the reason n got reply as ur ID n Address comes under different depots n so depot need to be changed to new addres with customers request. I just wondered that till debiting money from my account, toi was perfect right from sending regular messages, login with correct address, asking email, mob nos and the MAIN THING MONEY(all these are to be feed by customer only), but the ID creating and cross-check the same with address submitted by customer for depot checking is the sole responsibility of TOI. Still on 7th I hv sent the request as advised by ur CR team n got reply on 08th as approved the address change(proof attached). Since the delivery has not started, when contacted toi c.care, they assures next day delivery for my each call, every day(call logs attached as a proof). But till today (15.9.21), I didn't get newspaper. Extremely Poor back end team..only enjoys the salary and perks from toi, not doing their work with dedication..not efficient at all. I request TOI should take strong action against lazy n irresponsible employees at the Chennai branch who are trying to defame the name of TOI. Also I have contacted Mr.Xxxx, Area Mgr Chn-117 Depot, under which my address falls, thru WhatsApp n call. For both he has not reponded(proof attached)...what an efficient Manager..Also getting calls daily nowdays from toi CR team asking enjoyment of toi paper subscription. When explain the fact, they also assures a call bak immediately after talking with the respective Manager. But I could guess the poor staffs commitment towards their employer. They never called bak..All these people from top to bottom are thinking that nobody is there to take action against them..What an enjoyment!!!

Above all, I hv requested verbally for the refund of my amt if TOI cannot deliver the newspaper to ur CR team, but for that also they are neither ready nor give the procedure.

ITS ACTUALLY CHEATING OF CUSTOMERS IN THE NAME OF ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION...NEITHER DELIVERY OF NEWSPAPER NOR READY TO REFUND THE AMT.

I HEREBY REQUEST TOI TEAM TO REFUND MY SUBSCRIPTION AMT OF ₹799 WITHOUT DRAGGING MY CASE IN THE NAME OF DEPOT, SPEAKING WITH MANAGER, CONFIRMED NEXT DAY DELIVERY etc. ULTIMATELY IT IS THE FAILURE OF TOI CHN TEAM IN ISSUING SUBSCRIPTION VOUCHER WITHOUT CHECKING THE DEPOT ID.

I request the HO team to look into the matter immediately and take proper action asap.
