Times Of India — Illegal charges collection for newspaper delivery | |||
Re: Subscriber ID No. 33403156 & 34387402 Dear Sir, I have subscribed annually for the Times of India + Mumbai Mirror & Economic Times under above subscriber ID. I am a regular TOI reader for past 6 years. I have never paid any delivery charges to any vendor till date. Have you changed and rules of delivery? are we supposed to pay delivery charges to the person delivering the newspaper compulsorily. Will the newspaper supply be stooped and not delivered by you? Please advice urgently as i have been told by your newspaper agent supplying me the paper to pay the delivery charges on a monthly basis. Thanks & Regards. The Customer Service Executive Mr. Surendra Yadav, is beating round the bush with the same reply that it is a practise of newspaper vendors to charge for delivering the newspaper and is unable to provide and contractual obligation on part of subscriber to bear these delivery charges. He has forwarded me the terms and conditions of the subscription which has no mention of delivery charges payable by subscriber. He is not able to resolve the issue and have asked for seniors contact details - but so far no reply or information on the same.
