I've been with TOI as a customer for many years, it's been habitual for me to read the paper daily in the morning. Very good insights I use to get from TOI.
I have relocated from Chennai to Bangalore this month. I raised a request to transfer my subscription to get continued in Bangalore in Feb'2022, I came to know from Customer care that it's not possible (Wondered why this is not possible?), and they suggested better your transfer to someone here in Chennai. I requested them to end my subscription and pay my balance back, they said fine and raised a request.
Multiple mails, Multiple calls, no action so far. Today simply they closed the ticket without resolving it.
Secondly, Bitter experience with the Bangalore TOI team too, I called the TOI office and requested for a new subscription, they said 1 year - Rs.1099/- and they gave a person contact who seems to be an agent (Mr. RaviChandran) for my area where I live. Basically, I live in SMR Vinay Galaxy, A-1207, ITPL Whitefield Main Road, Hoodi Circle. I called Ravichandran multiple times and finally I managed to talk to him for new subscription, he informed to go for 6 months subscription (Rs.899/-), I said I need 1 year subscription and he finally said okay and informed me that he will send a link for payment. I tried calling him multiple times, no response till now.
This is the current state of affairs in TOI.
I have lots of respect on TOI and tried calling griveance Redressal number given[protected] and funny part is "Number is not working". I don't know where to go now. Only way is to send mail or I will knock the consumer court.
I believe after seeing this mail, TOI won't let me to go to that level and address my concerns. Was this information helpful? |
