I am raising this complaint against Toothsi regarding the cancellation of a dental treatment plan and the associated Bajaj Finance loan/EMI arrangement.
From the beginning of my interaction with Toothsi, I was clearly interested in aligner treatment and had communicated that I was not willing to proceed with braces. During the consultation with the orthodontist, I was informed that aligners would be the treatment option, based on which I agreed to proceed with the process.
However, after the KYC and financing formalities were completed, the treatment plan presented to me was for braces instead of aligners. Since this was not the treatment option I had agreed to and I had already clearly communicated that I did not want braces, I decided not to proceed with the treatment.
I immediately requested cancellation through the Toothsi application. However, despite repeatedly contacting Toothsi, I have not received a clear written confirmation that my treatment has been cancelled. I have instead been asked to wait for further communication and have been directed between different channels.
The treatment is also linked to a Bajaj Finance loan of approximately ₹45, 000, with monthly EMIs of approximately ₹5, 000 for nine months. The first EMI is scheduled for September 2, 2026. I have not made any EMI payment so far.
I have contacted Bajaj Finance regarding cancellation, but I was informed that the merchant, Toothsi, needs to initiate/confirm the cancellation from its end. I have also approached the National Consumer Helpline regarding this matter.
I am concerned that the EMI may be automatically deducted from my bank account even though I have clearly requested cancellation and do not wish to proceed with the treatment.
I therefore request that Toothsi immediately:
1. Cancel my treatment plan.
2. Provide written confirmation of the cancellation.
3. Initiate and communicate the cancellation of the associated Bajaj Finance loan/financing arrangement to Bajaj Finance.
4. Ensure that no further amount is deducted from my bank account towards this treatment.
5. Not impose any cancellation charges where the cancellation has arisen because the treatment proposed to me differed from the treatment I had agreed to.
6. Provide a clear written resolution rather than continuing to delay the cancellation request.
I have retained the relevant WhatsApp communications, KYC/EMI documentation, treatment information and cancellation request as evidence.
I am seeking immediate cancellation of the treatment and associated financing arrangement and a written confirmation that no further payment will be collected from me.
