I had placed a request for subscription to various pay and free channels on al-a-carte basis. However, though the requested pay channels have been activated, following free channels have not been activated.

After contacting the customer care of D2H over the phone multiple times a complaint in this regard was lodged on 08.05.2019 through email which has not produced any result.

But on bringing the issue to the notice of the concerned through Twitter, it was replied through a tweet that "channels cannot be activated individually because these channels are part of BST pack". Even after bringing to their notice the FAQ on TRAI website which has been replied as "subscriber can choose any channels which are available on the platform of the distributor, either in a-la-carte form or bouquet or combination of both", they have not activated the channels requested.

A complain to the Nodal Officer has also not been responded. Further, it was brought to their notice that the details of the appellate authority to whom further appeal on this matter can be filed is not available on their website as mandated by the TRAI through email to customer care and the nodal officer and were requested to provide the same . However, no response has been received.

In view of the above please take necessary action to ensure activation of individual channels as per the new tariff order.

We would like to inform you that as we have checked that you have opted for the DD pack (includes only DD channels) which does not include the FTA channels. Moreover, if you want to opt for the FTA channels then you have to subscribe to the BST pack. Currently, there is no option to opt the FTA as an Ala-Carte.
