Trai — vodafone - unauthorised charges & unsolicited phone calls | |||
Malpractice by Vodafone in billing. I had taken a supplementary sim (additional number). Vodafone recorded my email id incorrectly and did not send any postal bills also. After period of 4 months they contacted me on my main number and asked for Rs.2800. I paid this although there were no services and no bills sent by them. I asked them to cancel the sim. They did not cancel as they said it has to come from my registered email id and finally I had to pay for additional 2 months. Rs1145 and then I instructed for cancellation. When they could find my email and phone number to ask me to pay, they could not accept the instruction from the same email id and phone? This is despite Aadhar verification ! Then after this, on my main number there have been atleast 15 spam Calls a day from Vodafone asking why I am cancelling the sim. I have registered for the Do not disturb services. This has been a long standing problem with Vodafone where they are selling customer numbers to 3rd parties leading to spike in spam calls. The company appears to have no operating ethics.
