i honestly think orange trip in Bangalore, as a travelling agent is not even worth a penny. we planned a Srilanka and Maldives trip on 22 october 2013,and what they committing and mailed the plans and offers and the iteaneary was completely different of what we got in all our destinations, on top we paid the amount as confirmed and on reaching destination we were said to pay more 4000/- and since we did not agreed to the wrongly demands, we were restricted for a lots of ammenities , in short we were being harressed and almoste can say being looted and cheated.

i will request all the readers to be aware of their cheating policy and not to trust them, as i[censored] are out on a holiday with your family it will be not a leisure but a horrified holiday.even after so many calls to them from Srilanka and Maldives, we were getting a reply " we are looking sir, we are doing it sir, we have said our agent in there to do it sir,i am new and im in india so what can i do sir,and lastly PAY MORE 4000/- THEN YOU WILL GET IT "
its better to stay in ur home rather than to organize a trip from them. i am totally shattered , all our time,money and holiday all in waste ONLY BECAUSE OF THEM.

You are not a loner in this kind of experience. last week I was on Holiday in Thailand with family and on 1st November while we were preparing to leave the country and checking out the Hotel, we were called by their local service provider to their office. Reaching there we realised we were taken as hostage, since this guy has not paid the local agent any money for organizing our trip, where as he (Orange Trip Bangalore) had collected full money from us 3 weeks before our trip was scheduled. Same like you. After 2 hours of hostage drama and speaking with this stupid guys from Bangalore we had to pay the local agent USD.500/- to release us to catch the scheduled flight.

Not only our whole trip was screwed up, mental agony, shame in public, and loss of additional money was the result o[censored]tilizing the services of ORANGE TRIP. We are Indians who live abroad, and now communicating with him for the refund regularly since arrival here on 2nd Nov. I was also looking to defame him through net, I found your experience hence commenting.

We got the information from Thailand supplier that the money is credited on 16-November. Please check your account. We have sent a mail to Thailand supplier for every alternate days to get your money back. If you want, We can send you all the mails.

Also, Please note that We have paid you 200% of Your Mobile Bill charges within 3 working days once you given the amount details.

Also, Please note that this is not the mistake from OrangeTrips side and We have paid the money to Supplier 15 Days before your arrival date. Mistake is done from the Payment partners and please have a look at the mail below from the Payment company.

Firstly let me apologize you for the problems you had to face during your holidays in Bangkok . There is No fault from Orange Trip side, They had made the pymt on Time to us for transferring the Pymt & There is 100% no second thought about the quality of service they provide to their valuable customers.

Following Problems occurred in the below transaction from Axis Bank side :

1. In the invoice provided by Gm Holidays there were 2 a/c Numbers mentioned ( 1 domestic bank details & 1 international bank details ), while feeding the data in the swift transaction by mistake domestic a/c details was feeded, which got bounced back and came back to Axis bank treasury Mumbai a/c on 19.10.2012.

2. Since the Transaction was done from Axis bank Chandigarh, Mumbai treasury took exactly 6 days time to check from which branch this transaction had taken place & finally details from Axis bank Chandigarh was provided to us on 25.10.2012 to send a Revised mail By giving Correct a/c Number, Immediately upon the receipt of the mail we replied to them as mentioned in the trail mail.

3. Due to the Dusshera holidays lot of holidays came in between & we were under the impression that the amt would have hit the vendor’s a/c.

We are really sorry to say that we do not agree any of your point at all. Here is my explanation.

1. Itinerary Change in Sri Lanka : Since you have reached morning in Colombo, Our Supplier has asked you whether you want to stay first in Colombo or Kandy. But you have chosen to Stay Kandy first.
Also, You have utilized the Car to visit someone in Colombo Hospital which is 30km without our & Car rental company knowledge. We have given the Hotels & Covered all the sightseeing places mentioned in the Itinerary.

2.You have made a internal deal with Driver without our Knowledge for visiting Yale which is NOT included in the Itinerary. When the driver claimed car utilization, You have contacted us. But how can we help you when You informed the driver that "Do NOT tell to your office or OrangeTrips office, I will offer you better price" We got this information from our Car Rental company. We can Forward you the mail if you like to see.

3.Extra Charge Rs.4, 000/- : We have booked the flight ticket from Male to Mumbai. You have requested to reschedule to Jaipur. Its your responsibility to pay the Extra Flight charges + Rescheduling Charges. We have sent you the extra amount to you before rescheduling. You have agreed and replied also. But when my team called you for 7 days continuously. You have not paid at all. Still you have paid the amount. Who is cheating ? We have all the mail communication between us.

4. Honeymoon Benefits :- Please understand that Maldives Resorts offers "Wine Bottle" for Newly married Honeymooners and You need to submit your Wedding card which is less than 6months. But in your case, You are not a Honeymooner at all.So you are NOT entitled for "FREE Wine Bottle". Please do let me know what are all the Amenities are restricted in the Resort ? None of the resort restrict any amenities.

5. FREE SIM Card in Sri Lanka : In your Package there is NO Sim Card is included in Sri Lanka, But we have offered you 2 Hours talk time TO INNDIA at FREE of COST and Our driver has recharged the SIM Card for 1 Hour also. So You got the total talk time of 3 Hours at FREE of Cost.

6. FREE SIM Card in Maldives : We usually give 1 Hour Talk time to India in Maldives at FREE of Cost. But we have offered you 2 Hours Free Talk time to India at Maldives also.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TALK TIME IS ONLY FOR MAKING CALLS TO INDIA. IF YOU MAKE TO OTHER COUNTRIES THEN WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE.

7. You have never Paid Rs.4, 000 and we did NOT create any problem till now and Our Supplier in Sri Lanka & Maldives never asked you this amount to make sure that they should spoil your Holiday.

8. Please tell me if the Hotel / Resort restricted any amenities ? and this will never happen anywhere in the world (Restriction of amenities).

Please note we arranged the itinerary accordingly in order to offer the best deal for the clients.

if they had informed Orange Trips or us in advance that they were visiting someone at the
Hospital in Colombo we would have certainly made the changes.

Also note, we offered the clients the option of staying in Colombo after visiting their friend in Hospital.
It was the clients who agreed to travel to Nuwara Eliya, instead of staying in Colombo.

With regard to the extra tour they have made to Yala Sanctuary, this is something they have negotiated
Directly with the driver. According to the driver the guests had informed him that he should not inform
the Office about the extra trip and to offer a good rate directly them.

So, we are confused as to who is giving us the accurate information.

With regard to getting up at 5 AM, it is the clients who had opted for the Yala Sanctuary tour and this is not a tour which we
Have offered. So, it would be difficult to see as how they could blame Orange trips or Ceylon Roots for a 16 hour journey

Any way, Channa will investigate this matter on Tuesday when the driver returns to our office. We will keep you
Informed about it.

Please note the hotel is mt lavina is good, but the hotel in nuwera is very very bad.
We are travelling 14 to 16 hours from the past 2 days, and honestly is not enjoying as u have not properly arranged the trip n iteneary.
Also please note yester morning we left nuwera at 5 am, as the guide suggested to visit yala lepord sentuart, we have paid there for the car n entrance about 8000 inr already, now he is asking for mor more 150 usd as his extra car charges and compelling we have paid for now 11400 srilanka rupee, n balance will he take now, honestly its not worth and its too much extra tooo. Please look in the matter and arrange for the refund of this extra money of car that he is taken n asking for more.

We have given the following Itinerary.

Colombo to Kandy :- 5 Hours (including Break time).
Kandy to Nuwara Elia :- 2 Hours time.

So, 16 Hours traveling Hours is organized by you for visiting Yala Sanctuary which we did not know at all.

We entrust professional Team to organize a trip to have a flawless and safe Holiday. You blaming it on the other staff of yours and other service providers are not a professional approach. Also you should have resource and influence to over come this kind o[censored]nexpected situations.

Here it is evident that you have never confirmed the transaction is complete, and also you could never convince your counterpart in Thailand that it is a mistake and the transaction can be corrected in due time. This shows how much you trust each other as business associates, which made me pay USD500/- additional. Since you guys don't trust each other, how can we customer's trust you?

Regard payment of 200% of phone call, do you think we are only worth that for the trouble, pain, and shame in public we faced that day? Please arrange to pay us the compensation for the hostage drama, mental agony, maligning us in public, and interest of our money you have used for.

We planned a trip to Maldives through Orangetrips in August, 2014. I am regretting the moment when we chose them for our travel.I saw its collaboration with the brands like Infosys and got impressed. Before making a deal for our holiday, they showed off a lot about their free kit which contained Maldivian Sim card, Dongle and snorkling kit etc which they claimed that no other travel company is offering etc. They told us that our representative will meet us at the airport to assist us at maldives and handover the kit to us. Even before a day of travel, when i called the representative of Orangetrip named Arvind and asked about the free kit and about the person's detail who will be meeting us at the airport, He did not said anything and pretended that everything is normal and on the track. He lied that the person will be carrying a hoarding with our names on it and we can recognise him by this.

When we were about to board the flight to maldives, i called Arvind again just to cross check if everything is fine. But whatever he said was absolutely SHOCKING to us!! He said that the work permit of orangetrip at maldives has been expired and it will take them another one month to get it renewed, so there is no representative of orangetrip at maldives. When i asked him about the free kit, he said they will reimburse 20 dollars against that kit once we will be back from holiday. He asked to send him just our account details. We were so upset with him as we were feeling cheated at that moment. i asked him why did not he tell this thing to us earlier when i called him a night before our travel. He could not give any satisfactory answer about his lies. We had to pay a huge amount at cochin airport to buy a maldivian simcard.

Story does not end here. After coming back from Maldives, i called Arvind about those 20 dollars. He asked to send account details to him. I mailed him my account details but did not get any response even after one week. When i called him up, he said he cant do anything in this and we have to send mail to some lady in orangetrip named Jaya. I mailed the account details to Jaya immediately. Jaya responded saying she has forwarded the details to acount department and we will get our amount in a week. But even after a week, we did not get any update from them. Then the drama started. i made n number of calls to Arvind, Sent several emails to Jaya but no response. Arvind made a new excuse everyday and this is still going on.

This thing upset me a lot that how unprofessional these people are. They have even stopped replying to my emails and this behaviour is making me writing this post here. So that other people should read it carefully and not to chose them as their travel partners.

cannot trust these guys. False commitment made and they do not respond to phone calls once they rdceive the advance. Thorough CHEATS. PLEASE DO NOT FALL PREY TO THIS TOUR AGENCY. WILL ABSOLUTELY RUIN YOUR VACATION. BEWARE OF THESE DEALS.
This is what i have formally compalined to the CEO which is yet to beordinating wledged.

The manager and the co ordinating staff are absolutely careless and dont respond once they receive an initial payment.

I am highly dissatisfied with the overall interaction I have had with Orangetrips. Basis one of my colleagues recommendation I had planned my honeymoon trip but nothing had went well so far.


I would appreciate if anyone could call me at the earliest opportunity available so that my grievance could be addressed.


I had contacted your travel agency to book my trip for andamans. Before confirming this I had very SPECIFICALLY addressed your staff that under Luxury category of the package, I would go ahead wit the bookings only and only if the rooms available under the category are Luxury type. I was given a false assurance of the same one by Mr Abhay and one by Mr Arvind. I was advised to urgently transfer INR 5000 to go ahead with the approval. Upon receiving the same the itinerary provided to me stated that the hotel may or maybe of a similar category.


I was very disappointed to hear that and I had multiple telephonic conversations with both your executives explaining that that situation doesn't seem right.I was once again assured that the rooms will be available in hotel Sentinel of the Luxury category along with Wild orchid in havelock. To my dismay, I was later told that only the package is called luxury and room type will be premium. I had checked the same on the hotel website earlier and had very CATEGORICALLY and EXPLICITLY mentioned that I would not need a premium category room which just has a steel bed.
I am livid of the fact that in spite of so many on and off phone conversations your team isn't very qualified in UNDERSTANDING A CUSTOMER NEED if not, now I feel cheated of the same since NO BOOKINGS WERE CONFIRMED AT ANY LOCATION and I am advised repeatedly by your staff that my INR 5000 is not refundable.


I fail to understand that even though no bookings have been made or confirmed and absolutely no efforts made to understand my needs, why would your company have such unethical ways to collect this sum.


I am deeply hurt and excuse my language above, since booking through orangetrips is just a nightmare now. I would request you to kindly look into this and call me or reply with a confirmation of refund. I am writing to you directly since all the efforts in following up with your staff are in vain.


I have all the email conversations with your staff along with multiple phone records which I can share upon your request.


I am hoping to hear back from you asap. An experience like this isn't going too well. In future I would not be able to recommend your services if this is how it has to be.Here is an excerpt from the emails i have sent to the CEO which is yet to be acknowledged:
Dear Harin,

We have clearly mentioned the cancellation charges in the Invoice which has sent before making the payment. Also, We have offered more than 15 hotel options @ close to the same budget and you have not opted for anything at all.

3 of our staffs have spend 4 whole days in working on your packages in checking the availability of the hotels and other services. After all you have claimed that we never responded your call. We do have all the proofs for attending all your calls and responding all your emails.

We are sorry to say that we have to file a legal case against you since your non-worthy complaints spoils our brand name. Our legal team will do the needful with all the proof of our service response time & other relevant documents.

Booked flights on wrong date and I had to pay for rescheduling around Rs35000.This travel firm is cheating people.Now no call from them.i was surprised that I had to pay extra baggage cost at airport.
