[Resolved] Travel Triangle — fraudulent ways to abstract money from customer [booking id: 2969763] | |||||
Dear travel triangle team, This is regarding booking id: 2969763 for 3 nights/4 days trip to kerala via travel agency : gsk world travels. I called up travel agent on 3rd august noon to check if backwater cruise was included in lake palace package or not. My. Saurav/gsk world was very was humble to my query and promised to give a call back within 10 minutes with details. He informed stay at lake palace has been cancelled. 1. I don't understand how-come there was no communicated from a 5 star resort to the travel agency on the cancellation. It would have been a complete nightmare if one would have reached resort and then news was floated to me. My saurav gave me 3 options to choose from as an alternate to current booking - ramada (5 star hotel but not a resort), lemon tree (4 star) and world backwaters (4 star). All these resorts and hotels are almost half price to lake palace which is supposedly the best in alleppy and reason for me to book this trip. As per term and conditions if there is any cancellation customer should get a same category or better room. With limited internet connectivity in remote place in kerala after wasting 3 hours on call with your customer service and travel agent i opted for world backwater with villa room. The following day when i checked in world backwater resort (4 star) i was provided with a base room that too without lake view. (If that was the case why did i make a trip to kerela i could have booked in a resort in manesar) 2. My resort category and room type got downgraded instead of been upgraded. I called up saurav and informed this is the worst experience and requested him to get room upgraded by paying 1000 rs extra for a cottage room. He refused and above that started ignoring my calls from there on. He left me stranded in middle of the trip with complete agitation. The whole idea of my trip was to relax and rejuvenate. August 4th was auspicious as it was my wife's birthday and secondly she is 5 months pregnant. I wanted her to feel special. This has been worst horrible experience with your company and travel agency. Not only my mood was spoiled but valuable time in the trip, above that mental harassment. It is not a question of rs.1000 but integrity and customer service. Kindly share details of your legal department. I would be sending a legal notice for mental harassment and cheating. Solution to the above problem is to ask travel agent to credit the difference or else I'll have to take legal action to prove my point.I know i am not at fault.Travel agent is extracting further funds by providing third class rooms.
