Travel Triangle — Refund of Booking amount

I, Aseem Tiwari, and my wife were looking for Maldives Tour Packages online. We were approached by one of the agents, named "Kkingsman Travels" through Travel Triangle. The salesperson had produced the quote and explained all necessary requirements. We liked the resort (property) and approved it and had booked the package for November 2021 from Travel Triangle (TT) on 20th August, 2021. The quote was of INR One Lakh Thirty thousand only (1, 30, 000/-). However, we have crossed checked with many other Travel agents on the pricing and no one was able to match the given quote. We were told by Kkingsman that it was an "Exclusive Sale Deal" and needed to be booked fast. We had compared everything and found all the details were fine. We paid our booking amount of INR 10, 900 (where 10, 000 is for booking and INR 450 per person towards Travel Triangle convenience fee). As per the policy and also told by our agent, we were supposed to receive the confirmation vouchers from them within 24 hrs from the time the booking amount was paid. Days passed and we din't get the confirmation. We were continuously in discussion with our agent because of this delay and were told different stories like "Your rooms are available but the resort server is down so they are unable to send the confirmation". We believed in this story and waited for 2 more days. Then we were told another story that the resort is not taking the booking from November onwards, though one of my friends booked from a different agent and they got the confirmation within 24 hrs. We were given hope by Kkingsman that they were trying to get confirmation. But finally on thursday, 25th August we were informed that the price got changed and the actual price is 35, 000/- more of what we had been quoted. We were in shock and were disappointed that we lost our time and efforts. They have provided us with another option but we declined and asked to cancel the booking and initiate the refund. After some follow-ups, Travel Triangle replied to us saying they will deduct INR 2000 per person towards cancellation fee and 450 per person for their cancellation charges, so they will only refund us INR 6000 after deducting INR 4900. We wrote to them again explaining the situation and their fault. It was a clear case of wrong pricing to attract the customer and fool us to make some money and make false promises. We want the complete refund of the paid amount as it was not our fault that we are cancelling the trip with Travel Triangle. They are unable to provide the same deal after 5 days of booking. It is clearly Travel Triangle's fault and we will need the complete refund. They should even compensate us for all these troubles.

Fraud, Cheater - Tourepedia Holidays Agent on TT

I booked a package from Tourepedia Holidays Agent on Travel triangle. Tourepedia Holidays agents Kunal and Shravan both cheated us and gave us a plan or package at very costly. Earlier they had given the package at a cheaper cost. Also, Kunal told me that I will increase the amount of the same package. Do whatever you want to do, I will see.

We had very similar experience to yours. We booked out trip to Maldives on 23 Sep 2022. They (their travel aggregator) sent us a resort conformation number. But when we emailed the resort to check, we we shocked when the resort informed - "There is NO BOOKING against the reference number or under any of your names. Please check with your local tour operator". Upon informing Traveltriangle, they assured us that there is some 'bug' in their booking system and that they will resolve it asap. Even after 2 weeks, there was no update from them. After lots of chasing they sent us a new set of resort options. We again went through them, made a selection and asked them to send us a confirmation asap. But yet again, they came back to us saying that even this one is not getting booked!

By then it was over 18 days and we still had no resort and also our travel dates was nearing. We asked them to close our case and give a refund. They are now saying that they will refund after deducting 2000 per head as cancellation charge+ 900 as service charge. We tried to explain that there was NO BOOKING in the first place so the question 'cancellation' does not arise! We sent them multiple emails and reminders. No body in the organization is answerable or responsive. It has been over 3 months we have been asking the for an update but they just do not respond to emails. Really at my wits end thinking how to get a resolution!
