This is with reference to my visit to TRESMODE – High Street Phoenix on the 4th of June 2009. I had visited the store to get my pair of Fame-39-brown shoes exchanged.
The exchange service was not provided to me stating that nothing could be done from the store and the complain has to be forwarded to the manufacturer itself.
I had worn the shoes only once for two hours, and the heel broke as well as the shoes tore. There was no sign of durability reflected in the pair.
Also, I had given the pair for repair or exchange on the 4th of April 2009, and neither of it took place in the entire span of two months.
After paying a decent amount for the footwear, it only lasted for two hours.
I asked for an exchange and this is what they replied...

The preliminary investigation has the following details :
The particular pair has been purchased during the “season end” sale period on 4th of February. The pair has been given in the stores on 4th of April, 2009.
We would like to inform that all the products of the brand are fashion products and like every big brand in the world at the end of the Fashion season (6 months) the excess pairs are put on sale. Naturally, the products are minimum 6 months old which could go upto 12 months old. As you are aware, all the materials which go into the product will have a specified shelf life. As the products are getting old and the life gets shortened, all the brands will liquidate the products by giving discounts. (Primarily, the loss of shelf life is compensated through the discounts.) As a matter of fact, at the time of sale it is clearly mentioned that there cannot be an exchange or warrantee on the discounted product.
We however, do exchange when there are some manufacturing defects as this is not shelf life deterioration but due to some technical reasons there could be failure in the product.
In the present case, our stores has received the product, sent it to the workshop where the Heel tips have been replaced with a new set and has returned to the stores. The stores has record of calling you on two occasions and informing you about the status of product with a request that it can be picked up.
We regret that the pair cannot be exchanged in the above context.

I would not be accepting this after paying a good amount.
The company has no concern towards maintaining its reputation in the market.This gives rise to the downfall of the company because if they cannot satisfy and retain customers, they can never have a secured business.
Since I have already paid the required amount, I need a replacement of the pair of shoes.
