TRIP.COM — Refused to provide full Compensation

My bf and I bought a round trip ticket to Vegas through Trip.com. When we were in our way back, we were attempting to check in and could not. We got to the airport to check in and they said we had the wrong confirmation code. Due to this, we check in late and found out the flight was over book, so we didn’t get seats on the flight. We ended up wanting compensation for this flight.

The Airline sent us the refund and Trip.com choose to keep it, and give us the difference of the new flight because they didn’t want to be fully responsible for the full cost. So at the end of the day, the customers are the ones losing out on the extra money spent. That’s was MY money spent for the original flight, and MY money spent for the new flight. We didn’t do anything wrong, but clearly buying a flight through TRIP.com, cost us a lost of $746.36 (the old one way flight + the new one way flight); which y’all only refund $601.96 of it. They are a Scam and not reliable!!! They took our money, gave us the wrong confirmation for the flight, and refused to fully compensate us for our time and money spent. When I called, I was told to buy a new flight and upload the new flight for a full compensation. Instead, they used the refund from the airline to offset the cost and pay us the difference. Where was that mentioned in the recording???? That had nothing to do with the refund request I put into the airline! Trip.com will NEVER get my service again.
