Has destroyed my financial stability and mental health

I am absolutely devastated by the experience I’ve had with Trip.com. The way they have handled my case has pushed me into massive debt and has taken a severe toll on my mental health. I am writing this in a state of complete agony, as this situation has left me broken—financially, emotionally, and mentally.

Since 7 days trip.com is harrassing us for the name change request for our flight from Bangkok to Krabi. They are hanging us saying it would be possible and after 7 days they said it wouldn't be for 1 passenger and for the 3rd one they have increased the name change fee to almost double in one day. We are fedup with their service and extremely harrassed causing us mental pressure and illness due to the harrassment.

    My bf and I bought a round trip ticket to Vegas through Trip.com. When we were in our way back, we were attempting to check in and could not. We got to the airport to check in and they said we had the wrong confirmation code. Due to this, we check in late and found out the flight was over book, so we didn’t get seats on the flight. We ended up wanting compensation for this flight.

    The Airline sent us the refund and Trip.com choose to keep it, and give us the difference of the new flight because they didn’t want to be fully responsible for the full cost. So at the end of the day, the customers are the ones losing out on the extra money spent. That’s was MY money spent for the original flight, and MY money spent for the new flight. We didn’t do anything wrong, but clearly buying a flight through TRIP.com, cost us a lost of $746.36 (the old one way flight + the new one way flight); which y’all only refund $601.96 of it. They are a Scam and not reliable!!! They took our money, gave us the wrong confirmation for the flight, and refused to fully compensate us for our time and money spent. When I called, I was told to buy a new flight and upload the new flight for a full compensation. Instead, they used the refund from the airline to offset the cost and pay us the difference. Where was that mentioned in the recording???? That had nothing to do with the refund request I put into the airline! Trip.com will NEVER get my service again.

      I spent 24 hours in the airport because trip.com didn't want to rebook a flight from new York to London, i had some problems with a flight ticket because the name was wrong on it but at some point i finally solved that problem and i got to the plane but i didn't left because i had a seizure in the plane befor to go, and member of the staff gave me the advice that it will be better to not take that flight, to rebook the next one if I'm feeling better, and that i can reuse that ticket without extra payment because of my health issues. When i wanted to rebook the flight, the airline company they didn't want to rebook it anymore because they saw that i have the ticket with a travelling agency and they told me to contact them because they have to rebook it for me. I spent in that airport a lot of time and tried to contact them and explain the situation, they didn't want to rebook anything, they just tried to convinced me to book another flight from their agency and to pay for it. And i didn't solved anything, i had to buy another flight ticket, but i got it straight from the airline company. Hope that i will get at least a refund from this waisted ticket.I will never again use trip.com and i don't recommend to anyone

        Bought a plane ticket through trip.com payed it instantly and when I checked the flight doesnt even exist and theyve sent me an itinerary...

        I had booked flight ticket through trip.com on 13 april 2022. And Cancelled it later but till now I didn’t received my refund it’s been 4 months I didn’t received my refund. Whenever I contact agency they always tells me that they are waiting for airline confirmation and I contacted Air Astana they told me that agency should initiate refund. Trip.com

          I have booked a flight for Gulf Air through Trip.com for Mumbai-Frankfurt via Bahrain which further I need to travel to UK. Due to Airport transit Visa requirement in Germany, had requested Trip.com to change my flight from Bahrain-London rather than Frankfurt which they said it is possible and price difference is to be paid. After speaking with at least 10-15 Specialists from their US customer care they kept me waiting for the payment for the price difference and finally said their policy doesn't allow change of destination. Gulf Air said it is possible but to be done by Trip.com as tickets booked through them. They wasted more then 30 hours and never mentioned that it is not possible. Highly Frustrated and Worst website. Will never book again with them, Also, for cancelation you will only get the taxes back which is hardly 5% of the ticket book price.

            I had booked a one way ticket from Vancouver to Calgary with a change at Kamloops on 9/5/2022. Date of both the flights were in the morning of 7/7/2022. They provide me fake Air Canada airline reference number 3V59W8 and ticket number [protected]. This reference number was not recognized by air Canada. I kept writing about this but to no avail. After few days they informed me that Vancouver to Kamloops flight is rescheduled for 6th evening and Kamloops to Calgary early next morning of 7th July. On 6th/7th July, they informed me that tickets have been cancelled by air lines. Please see irony the airlines which do not recognize their numbers, cancelled the tickets without initiating a refund. I lost my CAD 151.30. It was a great shock to me as this cancellation changed my itinerary and booking of hotels etc. I have to incur huge amounts to book my bus ticket from Vancouver to Calgary. This bus journey ruined my whole day. I am wiriting time and again but to noavail.

              I booked a return flight with Trip from the UK to Krakow in Poland. Just over two weeks before the flight, I was informed the flight outbound had been cancelled. I called Trip Customer services who told me I could be refunded the outbound flight but not the inbound one as "this one wasn't cancelled". I could not get a full refund, despite the fact that the new flights being offered did not suit my travel plans so cancelled the trip all together. On the phone to the agent, they confirmed I would not need to do any further action and that the refund would be processed. The next day, I got an email asking to confirm cancellation - I responded to confirm, despite the fact the flight was cancelled and I could not get on it anyway.

              One month later and my refund was still not through. I contacted Trip.com who said they could not refund as the "flight had passed". I explained I wanted compensation for the fact they had not processed my refund in time. They kept ignoring this point and I received several emails stating "the flight refund cannot be done as the flight has passed"

              I have asked for compensation from Trip.com for an administrative error, to which they have declined and not addressed my complaint. Do not book with this company, they have processes in place to ensure they take your money with no service being given

                I made a booking with trip.com for a flight for two weeks ago. Unfortunately due to a covid policy I was not allowed to board my flight. I immediately contacted Qatar airways who directed me back to Trip.com. I stayed on the phone with them for an hour and they finally told me that they would refund my flight but would deduct some taxes and service days. They asked me to confirm the refund amount on their site to process it and confirmed that they have processed my refund.I was informed that I would be refunded within 7 days. It's been 2 weeks and no refund do I contacted them again then suddenly they made me begin a new refund request and now I'm told that I won't be refund. I will only be given 47$ for tax and asked to confirm this...WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL??? Noone is giving direct answers and communication is a nightmare. Why is my money being cheated?? I read their policies co-vid and it stated that I qualify for a refund. There is a big difference between the two amounts offered.

                  I booked a ticket from Trip.com from Cairo to San Francisco on February 2 2022 on Qatar Airways. At the counter they did not let me in as they said my PCR is valid for one day only which will end one hour before the departure. I went back frustrated called customer service in Qatar airways and Trip. Com . Both are useless . I talked with customer representative of trip . Com for a refund he said he will contact Qatar airways for a refund then he sent an email saying that no refund as the passenger. Me did not show up. I went to Qatar airways office, employee said that they should have send a note and a refund . That means they are not saying the truth and their policy in Qatar airways is refunding because of Covid . I had to issue another ticket with a penalty and increase price of ticket in order to go back . I lost money, time, problems in work, stress and lots of troubles due to their unclear an email.

                    The following flights have been cancelled by the airlines and I have requested refund from the vendor, i.e. trip.com more than a month back.
                    (1) Order No. [protected] Kolkata to Bengaluru – SG 658
                    (2) Order No. [protected] Kolkata - Bengaluru - I5 588

                    I am yet to receive the refund as of today. On contacting the vendor, I always receive mail to wait for few more days. Currently, I've been asked to wait for 60 days (initially it was 14 days waiting time).

                      1) I booked a ticket with Trip.com on 16th November for travelling from Chennai International Airport to Gassim Airport. Travel Date: 10th December (Find the attached Itinerary & E-Receipt for reference).
                      2) The passenger had reached on time to the Chennai Airport on 10th December. During Check-In, the passenger was informed by the Airline employee saying his ticket was cancelled by the booking agent.
                      3) Passenger was managed to collect a evidence from Airline employee(Image Attached for reference) and sent back from the Departing area.
                      4) I contacted the Trip.com Customer support before the flight departure. Called customer service multiple times, but they asked me to wait for an hour and then the i got a call from Trip adviser at 7:30 AM IST but the scheduled flight was departed at 4:10 AM IST.
                      5) The Trip Adviser said, I need to book the immediate flight on the same day with same class to avail the compensation. I followed the instructions and booked the ticket immediately and the passenger traveled to the same destination on the same day.
                      6) I have sent the Tickets to [protected]@trip.com (Now attaching the ticket in this email as well for reference).

                      Its been nearly 25 days.. Still i didn't receive the compensation.

                      We trusted the promise given by your team that i will get the compensation as early as possible and then i booked the tickets once again with my money to book the tickets.

                      There was no proper assistance while i reached out to you during the time of boarding the flight. The passenger was literally been sent out from the boarding area in front of everyone.

                      Still, i am being advised that, this process will take time. This is really not acceptable.

                      I contacted trip.com customer support multiple times, all the time i will get a reply that i need to wait patiently. I spent 17066 rupees and 21000 rupees for booking the ticket twice. I still didn't get the compensation

                        THIS COMPANY IS WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY VIA C/C AND NO TICKETS. THERE SITE IS BIG FRAUD, DONOT GO AFTER PRETTY COLORS AND FANCY WRITING. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
