Turkish Airlines — Denied Boarding Flight TK-721 Dt.11/12/22 --- Full Refund of tickets

Dear Sir,

I was denied boarding flight TK-721 PNR# SPB7MI on 11/12/22 from Mumbai to Istanbul, on the grounds that my UK multiple-entry visa on which I was traveling to my final destination Cancun, Mexico has to be a used visa and not a newly issued visa which is totally incorrect. The airline staff was not at all aware of the visa requirements of the Mexican Embassy, which clearly states on their official website, (https://embamex.sre.gob.mx/india/index.php/consulares/visas) that anyone with a valid multiple-entry UK, USA, Canada, Schengen, and Japan visas can travel to Mexico freely without obtaining a Mexican visa. I tried to explain to the airline staff but they refused to listen. I also have an email clarification from the Mexican Embassy in India about the same which clearly says there is no such requirement for a used / new visa and as long as the passenger holds a valid multiple entry visa from any of the aforementioned countries, can travel to Mexico without a Mexican visa. I can share it with you for your reference if you may need it.

I was so helpless and had no other choice but forced to cancel my trip as I was not allowed to board the flight and had to seek a refund of both my onward and return tickets with them at the check-in counter in Mumbai airport on the date of boarding i.e. 11/12/2022 which they agreed to process and promised me to update their records accordingly for cancellation and full refund, and asked me to follow up with EaseMyTrip, from whom I had booked this ticket, for a refund. However, after further following up with EaseMyTrip, I understand that Turkish Airlines has now changed their version and saying that it was a "No Show" from my side and hence they cannot refund the money, which is really absurd and totally unacceptable. I believe this airline has a great reputation and goodwill worldwide. but I never expected this kind o[censored]nethical behavior and harassment from their staff, scamming passengers in the name of cancellations and No Shows. I request you to please help me arrange for a full refund of both my onward and return tickets fare at the earliest and also compensate me for all the losses and trauma this has caused me for spoiling my vacation plans for the fault of their own uninformed and ignorant staff.
