This email is regarding deduction of money amounting to Rs.181 from my Paytm account. All though it was a free ride on uber cab. The name of the cab driver was Ramesh Babu and the cab was a swift desire. The ride was from ST.Theresa PU College to Sanjaynagar on 12th may 2015 on 350pm. I had 3 more rides which are no more there to use. I want to know how far it is justified to deduct the amount Rs.181 and 3free rides without acknowlidging...

Uber providing referralcode for every registered user. If he/she refers any relatives or friends to Uber and when they registered with Uber with my referrall code then they will get first ride free and I will get one free ride. My relative registered with email "sree.[protected]@gmail.com" against uber used my promocode "pnc5due" When they applied it says promo code applied and they are eligible for one free ride. But upon first ride they deducted amount without giving free ride. When they reached about the reason they simply said they are using violation/inappropriate promo code. I did shared my promo code with another relatives they got free ride offer. Why it is inappropriate only for one person and not for others.

Also I had confirmation mail from uber saying I have got free rides. but when I tried to use those free rides suddenly all the free rides were cancelled and I was charged money from my paytm wallet. and when I complained about this issue to uber, I was told it was system error and they cannot help me on this anymore. please help me

Hi, I have created UBER account with the below credentials and never used it.Once I had booked the Innova cab for my family (5 members), but driver denied to board the cab(Innova) for the reason being 5 members.I felt embaressed and cancelled the cab for which UBER charged me 150 rupees.I have raised complaint and they have refunded the money back to my account. Also I have referred Five of my friends to use UBER cabs, in return UBER credited 5 free rides in my account. Today, UBER banned my account without any communication. I have emailed customer support asking for the reason. In response, I got an email asking to pay outstanding balance.I have replied them asking for the details of outstanding balance but they never responded to me.Currently im not able to login to UBER application and use my free rides. Please help me to fix this issue. Uber Account : [protected]@gmail.com Mobile number : [protected]

As per the add and promo UBER made, I have shared my referral code and earned around Rs.4700 UBER credits. I don't know, for what reason the credit has been removed from my account. In response the query mail they replied, "Security features need to be built in to prevent misuse of our services and to prevent users from creating accounts for the sole purpose of taking free rides. You might not have had that intention, however, the system cannot differentiate between the two situations and frankly, there really is no way for anyone else to distinguish the two either". Why there is so poor logic written in the systems? I have already availed few paid rides before the blocking o[censored]BER credits and after too. Please take a look onto that and refund the amount as soon as possible.

As a joining bonus to the uber cab service I got Rs 600/- bonus. I recharged their wallet(maintained by paytm.com) by Rs 200/- .So My balance now is Rs 800/-. I took first ride & it costs Rs 381/-. So available balance is 419/-. Then I took 2nd ride worth Rs 410/-. The available balance shud be Rs 9/-. Instead of that it showed -191/-.!!! On a utter shock I communicated to the team, they were seems to be friendly unless it was proved that they were wrong. Since then they dint reply, never bother to even acknowledge any mail. Following are the extract of mail I exchanged. Me: actually i dint get the proper option, so I choose this option. there was no probs with the vehicle, but with the fare. I had a balnace of 419 when i took the ride, evn though the bill was if 410, it showed a debit 191 Rs!! I had to rechrge my wallet again ti settle the due. I already sent mail 7-8 times with screenshot of the rechrge made, Total trip cost & total balance before taking the ride, but no reply reached me yet!! If you dont want to take any probs from customer, then i'd love to be better informed. thnks!! Uber: Allan from Uber (Uber) Mar 26, 21:25 Hi Pralay, Thanks for writing in! Happy to explain. You were debited Rs.191 because your Uber credits on your account is Rs.219 and the total fare is Rs.410. If I can help with anything else, please let me know. Best, Allan UberSupport Me: Pralay Chakraborty Mar 28, 01:43 Hey allan, atvthe time of taking ride i had my main balance of Rs 200 as well. lemme just explain u, i got uber joining bonus Rs 600, as min of Rs 200 paytm wallet balance was required to take any ride, I recharged with Rs 200, took the first ride which costs me 391/-, so my total balance now is 419/- (219/-uber credit plus 200/- paytm wallet.), next trip fare is 410/-. then how the debit balance comes into the whole show??!! For your reference I'm attaching the details uber a/c & paytm account. thanks!! Attachment(s) UberAccountStatement_mitasisromo.png UberPaytm transaction_mitasisromo.png Uber: JC (Uber) Mar 29, 05:44 Hi Pralay, So sorry for the delayed response! Stepping in for Allan. I completely understand that credits can be confusing at times. Let me help you here. Initially you had 600 INR credits for signing up. However, on the last two trips you have taken, here are the fares: 26 Jan, 2015 | 8:03a IST = 381 INR 26 Jan, 2015 | 10:46a IST = 410 INR Therefore, the total fare so far is: 791 INR. Since you have the 600 Bonus credits, all that was left is 191 INR which had been successfully deducted from your PayTM. You can check again your PayTM balance and you will also that only 191 INR had been debited. Hope this helped. If there is anything else, I'll be happy to help further. Best, JC UberSupport Me: Pralay Chakraborty Mar 29, 07:25 Hey there!!! I am really sorry to say, that it seems you dnt know to read english. Please go through the mail I have written, find the attachment & get back to me. You are saying I had credit balance of Rs 600, Have u seen my paytm a/c? I had also recharged with 200/- twice, once before I took the ride & another one is just few days back. If you adjust 191/- then the balance should be 209/-, whereas I have only 18/-. I cant understand why your team makes a very simple issue complicated? Do the business in right way, refund the money in my wallet please Kindly see the case thoroughly & make a genuine reply If any of my language hurts any of your team member, kindly dont take it personally & please feel my level of frustration for sending so many mails for this issue. Cheers!! Uber:- JC (Uber) Mar 29, 07:37 Sorry to hear that. I’ll need to collect a little bit more information in order to troubleshoot this for you. Could you please share two screenshots with us? The current Paytm balance through the Paytm website (you can log in using your mobile number) The Paytm balance in your Uber App Looking forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Best, JC UberSupport Me:-(30th march) once again I am attaching the details of paytm account, screenshot o[censored]ber balance & uber trip details.. Me:(31st march) Hi there!! Can I expect some reply? Me:-(2nd April) Hey JC(uber), Its been 2-3 working days, no updates in the issue. will uber escape the matter like this..!!!?? this i really dint excpect from uber.. really.. Kindly give any update, or atleast show some courtesy by acknowledging the mail...!!! Cheers.. Me:-(7th April) Hello there. Since last one week or so, when I attached every evidence asked & when it is clear that the money was unneccessarily deducted/adjusted your team went to silent mode!! No reply, not even an acknowledgement of the mails after repetitive reminders in this regard. Hence as an informed & tech literate customer, I have no other option than to lodge a complain against Uber India in this matter. Actually online system for lodge a complain is as easy as book any cab thru uber. It takes hardly 10 mins to do that. So hopefully you are aware of these facts & refund the amount.

I have been banned by Uber with Email ID: [protected]@yahoo.co.in with a message policy violation. They don't have voice support and they handle customers over mail, whenever I mail them to activate my account. They give me a vague reply "Its system generated flag for violating our policy, we can't help on this issue. Consider this matter is closed, you can't access Uber any more". During promotions time I have referred many of my friends and relatives and had accumulated around Rs. 4000 in my account as referral benefit. When I ask them reason for banning, they are not ready to share more information. This is form of cheating customers saying referral program, after getting more referrals they ban the benefited account. I want to know more details regarding my account being disabled for. Please help how to chase them for gaining my account access.

The promos & free rides given on referral are being removed by blaming violation of rules during the ride. It has happened twice. Before the booking they show that I have free rides but as soon as the rides ends the Uber deduces amount from my Paytm account. When I asked about it I was informed that on the basis of suspense of violation of terms & conditions these free rides given to me have been removed. When I asked of the reason I was told that it's the policy o[censored]ber, they may block the account if the want without any pre notice.

This happened around 15 days back. I had booked a taxi through Uber for an immediate ride & once I got the Cab details(I received this info within a minute), I called him & he said that it will take more than 40 minutes because of traffic & asked me to cancel the ride & book for another taxi. So I cancelled the ride. Everything happened in 2-3 minutes but I got a message saying 350 rupees was deducted from my account(300 from Uber Wallet & 50 from my linked credit card) as cancellation charge. Since Uber doesn't have a customer call center, there was only 1 option which was to raise a request & still there is no reply from Uber. So not sure what to do. This is a classic example of money dwindling done because of linking the credit card. Hoping something happens by posting the issue here.

I got an Uber promo code when I booked a flight from yatra.com. The promo code had a free ride for up to Rs 1000. The code is valid till the end of October and also shows the same in my Uber account. I booked a ride through Uber and the bill amount came to be Rs 971. But I was surprised when it got charged on my credit card. They had given me a 25% discount on my bill because of some offer but I still had to pay Rs 728.25 for a ride which should have been free. I tried contacting Uber through its support page twice but havent heard from them.
