Uber India — Double payment for uber ride on 05 july 2025 request for refund

I am writing to report an issue regarding a payment made for a cab ride booked through Uber on 05 July 2025.

Details of the ride, driver, and cab are attached for your reference.

Here is a summary of the issue:

I initially made a UPI payment of ₹279, which was marked as pending at the time of the ride.
Due to the delay in confirmation, I also paid ₹279 in cash to the driver as advised.
After 48 hours, the UPI transaction was successfully processed, resulting in double payment for the same ride.
The driver assured me that he would return the UPI amount once it was credited to his account. However, he is currently unresponsive and claims to be in Mumbai.
