I availed of an Uber ride on 15th September 2022 at New Delhi from Alaknanda, New Delhi to T3 airport at 6:30 PM. On reaching the destination I made a payment of Rs.699.00 to the driver's bank account through Paytm. Unfortunately, my bank could not confirm if the payment went through. As the driver was getting delayed he requested me to initiate another payment of the same amount to his personal Paytm wallet on his tel No. [protected] which I did. The driver assured me that he would refund the excess amount if the original payment made to his bank account also went through. Both payments went through and I have thus paid him Rs.699.00 twice. However, he has not refunded the excess amount received by him. I am currently in the US for one month and I am not able to contact the driver as he is not taking my call. I request you to please get him to refund the excess amount that he has received on my Paytm wallet against my tel No. [protected]. He has my telephone number. I am attaching the ride details and the record of the two payments made by me to the driver along with my Paytm statement showing both payments.
I request you to please help me get a refund for the duplicate payment of Rs.699.00 made.
I am presently abroad so my phone will not work.
