Last night we booked a cab from Garuda mall to J. P. Nagar. On the way, we plugged in the USB on my sister's phone as the driver stated that he did not have any good songs. When we reached our destination, we forgot to take the phone back. Within a minutes time, we realized that we left the phone with the driver and called him immediately. However, the driver was already on his next trip. We requested him to wait for us at his next stop so that we could collect the phone and also agreed to pay him the waiting charge. At first the driver agreed to it but when the time clocked the driver stopped responding to all the calls. He would not receive our calls. He even blocked 2 of our numbers. Finally after trying for 4 hours from a different number, the driver decided to return the phone and also forced us to pay 2000/- for the diesel. I along with my other 2 sisters went down to the main road at 1.00 AM at night just to collect the phone. After getting the phone, we disagreed to pay 2000/- for the diesel as it was his mistake. When we had the possession of the phone, we found out that he used the phone to make multiple calls and also found out that the memory card was removed and he had kept it. We called him again to get the memory card but he instead abused in this local language and he has not returned the card yet. This incident is not at all acceptable. It has led us to rethink about using Uber services in future. We cannot rely on Uber driver anymore. It's not at all safe to travel with them. We are all agitated about whatever happened last night. We are totally unhappy about it. Many advised to file an FIR against the driver. I request you to kindly escalate it to the higher authority and I need the memory card back.
