Hello Sir, First of all, there is no way to contact UBER India either by an email or phone or message to complain about the gross irregularities inflicted on the consumers to UBER India. In the interest of all the Consumer using UBER services, there is a immediate and URGENT need to provide their contact information separately for Complaints in their website. This is a restrictive practice by UBER India. On Feb 9, 2017 around 9.36 am I took UBER Taxi - A Maruti Suzuki SWIFT Dzire of Karnataka registration for travelling a distance of 6 kms. (From Jayanagar 9th Block to UttaraHalli, Bangalore.They charged me Rs549 for the services. The details are in the attached PDF file. 1) The all inclusive maximum charges fixed by RTO, Karnataka is Rs13/km. Hence, I need to pay Rs78 only which is the normal fare. At the time of booking the service, I was not apprised of any surging charges. The attached bill shows that minimum is Rs549. How they worked out I do not know and I was not informed before hand. Nobody, either the Karnataka Govt or myself agreed for the charges. 2) The practice of hiding the approx charges before the booking is confirmed is becoming a common feature o[censored]BER to exploit the innocent consumers. They have no choice except to pay the amount at the end of the journey. I am sure UBER is resorting to this practice regularly and exploiting lot of Consumers. This should be put to an end. 3) I need to be refunded the excess amount of Rs471 immediately by UBER. Similarly, all the consumers who were exploited like this should be refunded. Now when I took the next trip on 12th Feb 2017, Uber app has considered that I have not paid the cash & charged me again.
So I am requesting for a refund.
