Uninor / Telenor — Complaint against telenor for advertising during call connect time | |||||
Dear sir/ma'am, Recently I ported my Vodafone number to Telenor. My number is 9049242XXX. Whenever I call a Telenor number I have to hear Telenor advertise voice explaining Telenor offers. Also when people call to my number they have to hear advertise voice of Telnor offers. It is a big waste of time for me and also for people who are calling me on my number. I have called 198 related to this complaint. The customer representative (Mr. Gundappa) has said that it is not possible to stop this IVR message. I request to look in to this matter and help to stop this petty advertises on my number for incoming and outgoing calls. As much as I remember I have not signed on any document that says it is mandatory for me to hear Telenor advertises. Customer care people say that during call connecting time this IVR message is heard. But no call connecting time is so long. After the IVR message is made to hear then call is connected. Government has already started DND service. But here Telenor is overruling this and make their customers to hear their marketing messages. Please look in to this issue.
