Request regarding equal opportunity in UPSC Civil service examination

I am a middle class family background student who did not get opportunity to study in CBSE or any English medium school. It is a major draw back for me. All of my abilities are surrender infront of Hindi and English languages. I want to become an IAS officer. The Union Public Service Commission conducted Civil Service Preliminary Paper in English and Hindi medium only. We have twenty two nationalized languages in our country. Hindi and English language based question paper is just a discreamation with other languages. I think this is only not my problem, it is a problem of all non -Hindi/English speaking students. Candidates have the flexibility to choose their medium of language to write in the main, but unavailability of question paper in regional languages in Prelims is a serious challenges for non-Hindi/English speaking students. many students lost their chance of clearing the exam at the very fast stage as they not be able to comprehend the entire question paper coming from regional background, which is quite discriminatory. It is of no use to allow candidates to write CSE Main in the language of their choice when maximum alimentations happen after prelims, which is conducted in either English or Hindi.
Therefore it is very humble request please provide some instruction to UPSC that they availed Civil Service question paper in all regional languages that provide equal opportunity in public employment.

Language
Language plays key role in clearing UPSC..in preliminary exam[objective type] firstly you have to understand what they have given so that you can choose the right answer, in Mains you have to write extraordinary answers to get good score over the other candidates it is possible only when you have good command over one particular language.

UPSC exam papers will be in two different languages one is English and the other one is Hindi.

Let me tell you one example:

I am from Tamil Nadu and my mother tongue is Tamil as I am not good/known to Hindi I must completely rely on English (colonial language) so here I have to be too good in English to clear UPSC why I said too good is if you observe the UPSC mains questions you will understand the difficulty.. sometimes if you don't know the meaning of a single word you won't be able to understand the entire question then how will you write the answer to that question??

One person from the north (UP/Bihar) their mother tongue is Hindi and the UPSC paper will also be in Hindi means he need not to be good/rely on English..we should accept one truth here, everyone may not be so perfect in any other language but every individual(educated)will definitely have good command over their mother tongue.

Above picture shows the UPSC preliminary CSAT paper) For me the left side one is some other language not my mother tongue but for a UP/Bihar candidates the same passage(right side)will be in their Mother tongue.

This is also one of the main reason that people from South India not showing interest in UPSC as candidates from many rural areas are not so comfortable with the English. At the same time it is very difficult for upsc to provide question papers in all 8th schedule languages so it is one of the disadvantage for the non Hindi candidates.

Qualifying nature of CSAT(General studies paper 2)
General perception(almost true) is North Indians are extremely good in General studies part than the CSAT(aptitude/English) but South Indians are good in CSAT compared to General studies.

So many candidates from the north agitated against the CSAT paper and demanded to scrap the CSAT… so UPSC changed the pattern in 2015..They converted CSAT as just qualifying paper (candidate need to get just 66 marks out of 200) so they consider only General studies paper 1 marks to decide whether he/she qualified for preliminary exam.

IMO the candidates who relied on CSAT marks are now hopeless in qualifying the prelims so they are not showing any interest in UPSC rather they are concentrating more on other private sector jobs.

In UPSC Hindi known candidates are definitely have some advantages over non Hindi candidates.

Views expressed above are my personal not to offend anyone. I don't have any North/South feelings. I love India n love to serve any part of the country n sorry if I hurt anyone.

EDIT: I am not against the Hindi speaking people I love Hindi and i'm trying to learn Hindi but we have to accept one fact here that

For a Hindi speaking, English medium candidate there will be two choices either English or Hindi.
For a pure Hindi medium candidate there will be at least one choice that is Hindi(if they don't have good command over English)
But For a pure Telugu/Tamil/Kannada/Malayali medium candidate who don't have good command over English, do they have any choice?? {As I said earlier to clear UPSC, candidates should have extraordinary English[writing n understanding] skills}So Simply they will concentrate on state services or they will try to get other jobs.

I didn't say that language is the only reason I did mention it as one of the reasons.
Some one commented like “ Hindi also had tough words n it's actually not helpful to English medium candidates (Hindi speaking) n most of the students rely on English”. And someone said “ Hindi translations are very tough that even pure Hindi medium candidates are not able to find it as easy” If this is the reality (if Hindi language is not really useful to any medium candidates) then what's the need of having Hindi in the UPSC question papers?? If most of the candidates rely on English then Let's just have only English (it's not possible for UPSC to conduct exam in all the 8th schedule languages) I welcome that move by the UPSC then at least it will be equal-equal for all Indians. No North/south/west/Northeast feelings.

As per present age relaxation given to the Ex-servicemen i. e. 5yrs, only personnel retiring from Navy (after 15yrs of initial engagement) or Army (after 17yrs) are eligible for UPSC CSE. An Airmen retiring after 20yrs of initial engagement is not eligible for a single attempt {18yrs (joining age of majority) + 20yrs (initial engagement) = 38yrs, but age relaxation given to an Airmen is 32yrs + 5yrs = 37yrs. It is my humble request to please look in to this issue, so that in near future if any amendments take place, this issue can be highlighted. I just want that, an airmen who wants to complete his full initial engagement may be given at least one fair chance to prove his caliber. This step will surely help to take out best of an experienced personnel in any field, if he clears CSE. Regards, K Raja Ram.

I want to inform about the cheating held in NDA-2 examination hall. Some students took mobile phone in the examination hall and did cheating with that phone.

I am a aspirant of nda and gave the nda2 2022 from bhopal centre. I have attached my admit card as well.
In my centre the rules were not followed as per the guidelines o[censored]PSC
1). There were students entering the classroom till 10:02 during maths exam
2). Students were allowed to show aadhar card digitally ( from phone) they didn't have a physical copy.
3). Parents from outside were giving water bottle and mask through a staff member even after 10:00.
4). Water bottle with wrapper were allowed, when it is written that the bottle should be transparent still all kinds of bottle steel, with wrapper and all were allowed inside the examination hall
5). There was a student wearing a screentouch watch.

Also according to my father, students were entering the hall till 10:00 and the people were also talking about the absence of jammer. You can take feedback from parents who were present.
This was my second attempt and my first attempt was in sambalpur and there police personnel were present and we were checked thoroughly. Also no entry of students or their belongings were allowed inside the hall after 9:50 for maths and 1:50 for gat but, these protocols were not followed by bhopal centre.
I am not very well known with the rules and regulations of the way the exams are conducted by UPSC but, these were some rules of which i was aware of and reported it to UPSC as they were not followed. I trust UPSC and their ways and respect it fully. I wish UPSC would look into this as well, and if the board wants then you can ask the parents and students to verify my statements. I would be glad i[censored]PSC takes strict action against such practice

Hello sir, I'm Anuj and I had attempted nda 2 2022 which held on 4 September but after examination on social media a video forwarding a lot in which students in centre using phone during the examination but it's is prohibited according to instructions . This type of news hurt faith of aspirants like me which work hard for the examination . Using video we can clear see the roll no of that students and centre if there is any Unacceptable action against the guidelines of examination held please take appropriate action against them.
