I applied for my Aadhaar card on 15 Oct 2024 at a post office. After 3 form rejections and proper document verification, I waited 6 months. No Aadhaar card was delivered. After multiple ignored complaints and being told to wait 180 days, I finally received a call in May 2025 asking me to reverify my documents again. Aadhaar was finally generated on 21 May 2025 — but it had serious errors:
- Only the year of birth is mentioned, no date or month.
- My name is written as LastName FirstName MiddleName instead of the correct format FirstName MiddleName LastName which matches my PAN and legal records.
Despite raising multiple service requests via phone and email (with screenshots and explanations), UIDAI kept closing my tickets without fixing the problems. I was even told to pay Rs. 50 and apply for changes online — which is absurd, because these errors were made by UIDAI themselves during data entry.
This has delayed legal processes, banking tasks, and ID linking. I request UIDAI to take responsibility, correct the data without charging me, and confirm in writing.
