UPS India — Tracking number: 1Z2TL50MD[protected]

I am a Canadian citizen stuck in India for the last 3 months. As such, I requested my employer in Canada to send me my work laptop here. It was shipped on May 28 and UPS Express was supposed to have it delivered to me by May 31 (due to the weekend). The package was misplaced in Canada, not shipped until June 4 and since June 5 I have been dealing with UPS India. First they asked me to make 6 revisions to the commercial invoice that UPS Canada had already cleared. Then they incorrectly classified my shipment as a gift and charged me the highest possible customs amount and my total ended up being Rs. 61, 907. I refused to pay this and was advised by UPS Canada and India to resubmit my commercial invoice with the right values and classifications to UPS who would then resubmit them to customs. I submitted this to UPS Canada (no response) and the agents who I was dealing with in India, Manoj Kumar and Saurabh Nigam. Saurabh told me in writing that all inclusive after submitting the revised commercial invoice, I would only have to pay Rs. 12, 000-13, 000. Today after almost a week he is going back on his word and charging me the original 61k and saying he made a mistake. Well his mistake is costing me Rs.49, 000 and I have lost 3.5 weeks because o[censored]PS India's mistakes, unresponsiveness, inefficiency and general lack of disregard for the customer and their situation. I would never recommend UPS to anyone and would like to lodge a formal complaint against them.
