We purchased a Barnes Recliner 1 seater and Laurence Motorized Recliner 3 seater on 22 March 2022. The order was placed through the Showroom located in Thoraipakkam, Chennai. After checking and rechecking with the model displayed in the show-room and confirming that the cushion quality and the reclination initial position were excellent, we ordered for the same.
The only change we made was to go for fabric cover rather than a leatherette cover displayed in the showroom.
While the Laurence Recliner was satisfactory, the Barnes 1 seater recliner was totally different from the one we had tested in the showroom.
There's a huge cavity at the center when the recliner is fully strectched. At the initial position also the cushion plunges down as if into a pit, making sitting position so uncomfortable.
The company made homevisit of the product, took some videos of their choice rather than the video that will show the cavity status. Now the company keeps repeating that there's no cavity at the middle of the recliner.
Our request to replace it with the exact model displayed in the showroom has been turned down.
The calls are evaded and the email reply keeps repeating the same tune of denial.
