[Resolved] UTI Mutual Fund- MEPUS — Redemption Issue | |

For the past 6 months redemption request for my daughter's investment in MEPUS has been submitted. Ever since, I have been messed around with demand of various documents by your redemption. These documents have already been provided but unfortunately, each member of the team does not communicate with each other and they all want fresh papers each time.
Back in February this year, I have already provided you (1) signature attestation form- duly signed by the bank official (2) Affidavit for the name (3) copy of the passport (4) Copy of marriage certificate (5) a letter explaining the circumstances regarding the address. This is not a change of address but as the original property is under development where the correspondence should go. Though there is no change in the bank details.(6) Cancelled chaque (7) copy of bank passbook.
Having complied with all these requirements, your Mumbai office needs all copies again, why ? could anyone explain to me why we need to go through this rigmarole again ? Why can't you get those copies from your Hydrabad office ? Are you so dam lazy that Mumbai office can't get verification from Hydrabad office ?
This is really harassment and your unwillingness to make settlement of a legitimate redemption claim.
WE LIVE IN U.K. AND TO REDEEM SUCH A SMALL HOLDING IT IS NOT PRACTICAL AND ECONOMICALLY VIABLE OPTION FOR US. INSTEAD OF MAKING REDEMPTION PROCESS YOU ARE MAKING IT MORE COMPLICATED.
If this issue goes on any further then I will have no alternative but to make a formal complaint to OIAE (SEBI). I could not find appropriate category, therefore, assumed it is safe to go for Business and Finance. If it is not then my apologies.

Verified Support Mar 23, 2015 Unit Trust of India Mutual Fund [UTIMF] Customer Care's response In this connection, we have taken up the matter with Karvy Head office and asking him to verify the document which he has resubmitted / resend to you during Feb 2015. accordingly they have send a suitable reply again to you on 19/03/2015 in respose to your letter dated Feb, 2015. Incase if you have still doubt then please mail the details to [protected]@uti.co.in with a copy to us.
