I bought a split AC of videocon (1.6 ton SPLENDOUR) from NEXT retail shop ( which is also a part of videocon ) from Durgapur, west bengal on 16th of April 2009.
Request for installation done on the same day at 12 noon ( no is ASA[protected]) from same shop, they did not bother to install it and did not give a demo also.
After hundreds of phone calls, they came and install it after 5 days ( despite my house is just 8 km away from service centre).
they didnot give any official bill, but took full charges ( Re 1500 ) for instalation.
After that AC ran for 30 minutes and after that it went out of order, making loud metalic noice from out side fan and throwing hot air inside the room.
my electric line is O.K. and I am using a voltage stabilizer of whirlpool as per recomendation of NEXT - VIDEOCON.
After that we made complaints for severel times, did hundreds of phone call to NEXT retail chain and Videocon Service centre, but till today 2nd MAY 2009 they have not come check the problem even.
16 days gone, AC ran for 30 minutes only, Summer is on the way of leaving, will they solve my problem in WINTER ?!!!
I am helpless, want to take action against Videocon service centre Durgapur WEST BENGAL and my money back, so that i can buy any good AC, which wont make me suffer, .

Videocon window AC — AC complaint not being attended since more than a month
My Videocon Window AC was not working at the start of this season (April 2011).It is in guarantee period.Engineers came from Advance Electro Care (Prashant Vihar) and filled gas and charged Rs. 2250/-. I found it was still not cooling properly and complained. Then they came again and filled gas. But within 1 week, it again stopped cooling at all. After lodging another complain, they said that now the compressor has stopped working. (This is because thay filled gas with excess pressure).
Since 25 April 2011, till today (06 June 2011) no one has come to change the compressor.
They also took the copy of the bill. Everytime they visit, they ask for service charges again. But now, nobody
is attending this complaint.
Please consider it as a serious matter of poor service and take necessary action.
