Vijaya Diagnostic Centre — Very high charge for diagnostic test.

I Mohammed Taher Mohiuddin would like to lodge a complaint against Vijaya diagnostic centre, located at: 601/1 to 615/1, ground floor, opposite masjid al wahid, Charminar road, Shah ali banda, Hyderabad-500002.

My nephew is going through a health issue for which his doctor(dr. Anoop kumar) prescribed medication and asked us to get his stool tests done. I took the sample of my nephew’s stool and took it to vijaya diagnostic centre to get the test done where they charged me 1400 INR for his ‘stool culture test’. The next day my nephew was admitted in jayabhushan hospital and i had to get a few more tests which I got done at 3M diagnostics which was near the hospital. The bill from vijaya diagnostic centre was attached with the doctor’s prescription and the receptionist informed me that the test for which I was charged 1400 INR actually costs just 250 INR which is way too less than vijaya diagnostic centre had costed me.

I went to vijaya diagnostic centre for reasoning and they said that it’s what they charge for that test and nothing can be done about it. If it would’ve been a difference of some amount, that would’ve been acceptable but a difference of 1, 150 INR which is more than 400% of charge is completely unacceptable.

I would like a necessary action to be taken against such diagnostic centre which is charging way high amounts from common public.
