I was suffering severe itching all over my body since 2 months but the itching was just worsening and it was becoming difficult for me to step out of my house as I couldn't itch everywhere. So I heard that derma dept of Safdarjang is really good so few days back (On Monday), I took online appointment & after standing 1 hour in long queue, went to skin dept OPD (it was around 9:40 am). Only 2 girls were there before me. I went inside the room & met a junior dermatologist (maybe intern) as senior dermatologist was not there. I took out all my previous consultations, blood reports & showed pics of rashes I got after itching. This junior dermatologist didn't even see my reports & declared that I am having urticaria. I knew about it so I asked her that is she sure? She replied, " yes, I am sure". Then I asked her what is cure? She said, urticaria has no cure, you just keep away from the things from which you are allergic...so on. She prescribed me Levocetrizine & lactocalamine lotion for one month.
I followed this treatment for almost 10 days but no relief, so I consulted a dermatologist in one of the Govt hospital in Faridabad a few days back. She patiently asked me the areas where itching is severe & declared it to be scabies and advised me to not to worry as it will be cure within two or four weeks after treatment.
Both these hospitals are Govt but the only difference is that Safdarjang is vast, it has large crowd so maybe this is the reason that doctors there just prescribed medicines even don't listen the whole problem of patient. If it can happen to a well qualified dietician (I), what is happening with uneducated crowd. So it's my humble request to all the doctors, kindly listen to your patients.
