Volkswagen India — Car Key Broken and welded by your service team

Hi, Yesterday we recived our polo given for a service at your Ahmedabad service center. The driver picked the car and their was no mention of any problem with key neither in writting or verbally. I did hear from the engineer about car cleaning and any concerns if I have... Lastly in the evening i was informed the car key was broken so we have welded it... Wt a lie? If it's broken by you, have courage to say the truth and replace it ... If was broken already than how the car could start from my garagge?? why their was no mention of the same??
