Volkswagen India — dealer issue

I was called up couple of times to bring my car to the showroom for some software update. I gave the car and took it back after a couple of hours. After some time of driving (30-35km) the car engine light started appearing due to which i handed over the car back to the showroom where i was told that it is due to some loose connection. I took back the car again and still the problem was persistent.

After complaining about it going back to the showroom the third time we kept the car at the showroom itself for 2 days for them to rectify the issue. We got to know that there is some problem with the egr system of the car and need to be replaced. We were told that 60% of the payment will have to be made by us. The cost of the part being 45000.

I will like to clear you on the point that this problem was not there before and happened only after giving the vehicle to the showroom for software update. So how is the customer liable for paying this amount. The explanation we got was that this function was hidden before and the dealership was different in 2016. Also the service team has changed now.

I would like you to see into this matter urgently as it is causing me a lot of inconvenience. (Car is not with me). Also why we were not told about egr fault first two times. We were only informed about it on the third time we left the car there.

I have contacted the volkswagen more than 3-4 times now, the issue is not resolved and the dealer is saying the car is with the customer which is not true.

Its 13th day today and my car is still with the service centre. There is no solution from the customer care or dealer.

Highly dissatisfied with the turnaround. You say at your website the vehicle is roadworthy, its not after the update you are mentioning!(refer the screenshot)
