Volkswagen India — Frequent Injector Failures

I own a Volkswagen vento (KL-35-C-2525) 1.6L diesel purchased on May 2011.

Facing frequent injector failure (3rd time) with my vento TDI 2011 model...cars run only 55, 000 kilometers and regularly doing all periodic services with authorized VW service centers.

First I faced injector failure on Sep 2018. Due to breakdown, car towed to VW Kottayam. They inspected the car and asked to replace all 4 injectors which costs more than 1 lakh rupees. I bring attention the same to VW India, as injector failure is very high with 2011 model due to manufacturing defect. Then SC told like it is required to replace only 1 injector of 4th cylinder and they will do that in good will warranty and clear the errors of other injectors and no need to replace other 3 injectors.

Car again got breakdown on Jan 2020, towed to VW Kottayam. They told like need to replace 3rd injector. After raising the constraint about manufacturing defect they replaced the same in 50% customer share.

Again car got breakdown on 25th Jan 2021. Now VW Maradu, Cochin saying that issue is with injector of 4th cylinder which is already replaced 2 years and 4 months back in goodwill warranty. I asked for support from VW, they denied that by saying like they replaced it one time earlier.

It is clear that it is failed due to manufacturing defect as it last only for 2 years and 3 months. Now I can't dependent on my car for any travel as it is getting breakdown due to injector failure 3rd time. Other than injector failure I faced breakdown 3 more times due to different issue like ABS sensor failure, starter motor failure. So totally I faced breakdown 6 times and spent around Rs. 25, 000 for towing car to service centers.

So big question in my mind is like why should I keep this car as I can't depend this car for my needs. And I can't afford these much maintenance cost like towing cost, high spare cost and frequent failures.

Now I have to again pay around Rs.23, 000 for the cost but don't know how long it last.

Injector failure is common with VW cars manufactured before 15th Jun.2012. Please see below the wordings from an internal technical product information of VW (I have the copy of original PDF of the same)

"Production change
Improved injectors are implemented in series production at VWIPL from CW03/13. Cut-Off VIN - TMBBLANA9DG035155.

Defective injector must be replaced by improved injector as per following guidelines:
All injectors which are produced after 15th Jun.2012 are improved & should be used for replacement of defective injectors."

As a customer I am struggling lot due to these frequent breakdowns which stranding me with family on the road due to car breakdowns.

It is shame to VW, that replaced injectors also getting failed within a short pan of time like 2 years and 3 months.

As VW denied the support, I have to pay the full amount to get it replaced.

VW should ensure some reliability on their cars and spare parts, rather than putting customers on the road due to breakdowns.
Also please stop stealing from customer pocket by selling defective products and spare parts.

So please make arrangement to return the amount charged from me for this injector replacement.

It is not resolved or addressed by your dealer partner.

Nobody contacted me from VW side or dealer side regarding this complaint.

Why you are coming with comments like "We understand your query has been resolved and addressed by our dealer partner." without doing anything or not even contacting me.

I already sent a complaint to customer.[protected]@volkswagen.co.in on Jan 27th itself. But I didn't get any response till yet. After that I raised this complaint on https://www.consumercomplaints.in. But no result..
