It is with deep regret i am writing to you with regard to my “ first year “ fully paid completed service for my vw polo car.
I had contacted sundaram motors, they had taken the car & returned the car within a day’s time. But since i was travelling due to work commitments, i did not personally take delivery of the car, it was my husband who did. The car was returned on april 7th, 2016.
The reason, i am writing this complaint now is because i just got back into town yesterday. Upon inspection of the car, i found that one piece of the door mat for the back seat is missing. The windows & windshield of the car, has marks of dirt & cloth all over it, which makes it hard during night driving. Inside the car, there was excess wax/polish that was used which was not i am guessing given enough time to dry ! Also there is tiny pieces of thread from a cloth all over the dashboard & music system !!! The funny thing is before taking the car, sundaram motors told me that the company 3m is the one who does the washing/cleaning. Hence the exhorbitant charges of rs 4, 134 for car cleaning !!!
I was told that i would get a call within a week of return of my car for feedback. I got a call from sundaram motors on april 20th, asking for feedback, when i said i do not speak tamil, the lady at the other end said okay – she promptly disconnected the call on my face !!!
What is amusing is that i have received an sms from sundaram motors asking me if i would like to buy extended warranty for my polo as they have a special price offer now ! But i am yet to receive a call for feedback on the servicing they had done !
I have a few questions for you –
Why is it that i did not receive a call back for feedback ? Is it mandatory that, being a non-tamilian, i should know local language only then i can give feedback ?
If the very first full paid service for my car has been done in such a shoddy manner, what should i expect from vw in the years to come ? Or is it that you sell customers a class product & then post-sales service is the customer’s headache ????
Since my husband does not know anything about cars, he just “trusted” sundaram motors at their word – made the full payment upon receiving the car ! So is vw trying to tell me that going forward i should see that only i or someone who is familiar with cars – should be receiving the car from the service centre – or else i would face this fate !
I have been owning & driving cars since the last 15 years. This is my very first vw car, it is only on the high recommendation of a friend & family member that i decided to buy a vw. Prior to this i have owned a hyundai & a ford car !! I did not face any issues with either of the car manufacturers on any aspect.
Should i conclude that buying a vw was a costly mistake that i wasted lakhs of rupees of my hard earned money for such pathetic post sales service ?
