[Resolved] Voltas — ac product & service quality | |||
Purchased 3 acs - 2*1.5 ton window and 1 * 2 ton split from kd audiovision, sector 18, noida in the year 2014. Voltas had claimed that these were superior quality as they used copper pipes and they were less prone to gas leakage. The reality ii that over the last 4 years we have had gas leakages in almost all acs every year and have had to replace the coil of the split ac. Spent approx inr 20, 000/- for repair apart from the mandatory spend on the annual maintenance (Approx 500/- per ac per year where they come and just wash the ac). Last year, in june the authorised service centre (Again kd audiovision) had take both window acs to their workshop for gas refilling and replaced the coil of the split ac. Total cost was approx inr 8, 000/-. And again in this year we had a gas leakage in one of the window acs and were told that the coil of the same had to be replaced. Estimate inr 6500/-. Had previously used carrier aircon for past 8 years at the same address and had to get gas refilled only 2 - 3 times during the period. Unfortunately got conned by voltas' "copper pipes story". I was extremely upset and somehow manged to get the number of the voltas service manager of the area (Manoj chauhan) and related my very bad experience with both product as well as the service quality to him. He promised to help by escalating the issue to his seniors but unfortunately did not revert. He took my calls 3 - 4 times over a 10 day period but then subsequently stopped taking calls also. I have subsequently got my ac repaired from an outside person (No coil replacement required). They have also guaranteed free gas refilling in case of leakage during the rest of the season. To me this entire gas leakage/ coil replacement things looks like a total scam being run by the authorized service centers. Am not aware how many of the voltas service managers would be involved because i am sure that this cannot be happening without the knowledge of some of the people in the system. Worst decision of my life buying the voltas acs. I would never ever buy or recommend a voltas product to anyone. Regards Barinder [protected] Was this information helpful? | |||
