[Resolved] Voltas — Split AC - Less than 1 year old - damaged during free servicing(during warranty period) and no help thereafter | |||
Pathetic pathetic after sales service from Voltas. I had never imagined that the second free servicing from the company would cost me so much. On 14th March, I got the wet servicing done from the Voltas technicians and the A/C was still in warranty. The machine was handled very very roughly by the technicians and they also broke a part of the indoor unit (part of the plastic frame) which they never agreed to. After the servicing the indoor unit started leaking water the same day. On calling the same technician again he was totally clueless about the reason. Also, other technicians that came in either had no idea or could not stop the leakage. Today 5 weeks have passed and I still dont have a solution to this even after 3-4 technician visits. In fact, I have to call the service center again and again to ask when are the next set of technicians coming. And this is another problem because of which I am fed up. If I lodge a complaint in the customer care, it takes minimum one week for the technicians to come in; also they commit one time but never come on that time. It gets really frustrating. After lodging my last request in the customer care, I am still awaiting the technicians from the service center; but nothing as of now. I dont have to explain that in the month of April, how hot it can become and I am suffering only because of the wet servicing done by the Voltas AC technicians. This problem of water leakage within a year of installation is absolutely unacceptable from a company like Voltas especially if it is due to the technician rough handling of the machine. And let me also tell you that while the machine is on, the water also fell on the stabiliser and other electrical switches; if some accident happens, I will blame it on Voltas. I have all the details of the service center to which the techinican belonged to and I also have the name of the technician who did the servicing. I do not want any repair of my one year old AC, because of technician fault. I want it to be replaced by a new indoor unit; as it happened during the warranty period and while the servicing was done. One month is over and I am completely fed up. I am attaching the activity sheets related to the technician visits and also the bill for the AC. Please help, we are suffering from 1 month.
