Voltas — Split air conditioner having manufacturing defect
This is to draw your kind attention to the fact that i have purchased an air conditioner being model no. 183cy 1.5 ton ac 3 star, having unit serial no. 4551647a[protected] and [protected]k007154 on 02.04.2015, which was installed on 05.04.2015. to my utter surprise, the concerned a/c was started having problem of water leakage from indoor unit after one month and the matter was informed to your concern and on 25.05.2015 the concerned person from your service center tried to resolve the problem. it is worthwhie to mention in this connection that the air conditioner was not used in the winter season. after started using the same in the month of april, 2016, it started giving the same problem of water leakage from the indoor unit vehemently and i was constrained to inform the service center on 15.04.2016. the concerned personnel came on 16.04.2016 and again tried to resolve the problem by taking charge of rs. 400.00 but on 18.04.2016 the same problem again cropped up and the matter was attained by another personnel of your concern on 19.04.2016 who also tried to solve the problem. but to my utter astonishment the problem continued and i was forced to call the service center once again. the concerned person from the service center came on 21.04.2016 and took the indoor unit to your workshop and the same returned back from your workshop on 24.04.2016. on inquiring, the concerned personnel of your good office stated that the a/c is having a manufacturing defect of coil and they have tried to resolve the problem of massive water leakage from the indoor unit of the said air conditioner and went away by reinstalling the indoor unit. after elapsation of only 3 months, now i am again having the same problem and the air conditioner is discharging excessive water from the indoor unit and as such, it has became impossible for me to start the air conditioner, resulting in tremendous mental agony and physical discomfort to me during this humid atmosphere.
In such circumstances, you are hereby advised to exchange this air conditioner suffering from manufacturing defect by installing a fresh and new piece of air conditioner with immediate effect, otherwise i will have no other alternative than to take strict legal action against your concern, which please note.
Treat this complaint as a notice in this regard.
