We booked 2 sofa set from wakefit, bangalore physical store on 14th of Jan 2023 when we were told, unofficially it gets delivered within 10 days but officially it shall be delivered by 28th of Jan 2023.
1. We started calling them from 24th jan 2023 to find out about the sofa; when we were constantly told, it would reach by 28th as mentioned and they can not help in this matter. There was no update in their website as well to track the order.
2. When I reached them out on 28th Jan they told, it will take another 1 week. I raised a request to share me everything on the mail, why a consumer has to pay upfront and wait until delivery only to realise at the end that it will not be achieved.
3. I got the first product on 31st Jan 2023 after getting on call with their escalation team for almost an hour on daily basis.
4. Over all the calls I was very polite and honest, the recording can be pulled from wakefit. I was not getting personal; always asked why as a consumer I have to go through all this and they dont even acknowledge the opportunity cost involved for the time given by the consumer.
5. I asked them for a compensation and the best they were offering me for the loss of time and value of the product was 4% of the product value worth of coupon. After all this agony they were expecting a customer to come back to wakefit.
6. Worst amongst all was they are constantly bombarding me with emails/ sms/ Whatsapp messages regarding the feedback of the product that I never received.
7. Post raising all this concern they told by feb 14th 2023 I will definitely receive the product.
8. Now after all this, they have again updated the date on the tracker as 1st march 2023. They started calling on my alternate number (friend's number) and simply explain the delay.
9. I requested them for a call back from their manager, which they denied right away. As a consumer I feel I am being cheated. They kept me in the dark always. The value of money that I have spent via credit card, I am paying EMI without the product above that the pain and the agony to constantly reach out to them.
10. No update from their end happened ever. Diana, Dinesh and Ebin are the representatives that I inteacted with and shared my share of pain. Everytime they give a computer generated kind of a response.
